Hoping we get some older TV shows on DVD (and Blu-ray) before the end of the year. Was hoping the fifth season of Step by Step would have been out by now (the fourth season was released back in February). Maybe it's because the sixth season's episodes need to be rearranged into the correct order (when it originally aired in the States, the episodes were shown in the wrong order)?

As posted about in the Step by Step discussion thread, Step by Step: The Complete Fifth Season is being released by the Warner Archive (aka WAC) on Tuesday November 5th.

It's probably too much to ask for, as they were released a long while ago, but I'm hoping Deep Discount might still have copies of the Dr. Kildare season sets with pressed DVDs. Haven't ordered from them in a while.

Is December usually a quiet month for the Warner Archive? Not expecting the sixth season of Step by Step to be released in December (it would be great if it did, but I'm not expecting it to be released until February at the earliest).

Does the Warner Archive's DVD release of the third season of Dr. Kildare include the Eleventh Hour crossover episode "Four Feet in the Morning" as a bonus feature?

Following the Warner Archive January announcements, have checked Deep Discount's Warner Archive TV titles pre-order section, and there's no sign of Step by Step's sixth season, The Blue Knight (starring George Kennedy), and the second (and final) seasons of The Eleventh Hour and Mr. Novak.

Warner Archive's DVD Only Releases for January 2020:
You: The Complete First Season - 1/14/2020 True Justice: Bryan Stevenson's Fight For Equality - 1/21/2020 Hangin' With Mr. Cooper: The Complete Third Season - 1/21/2020 Duck Dodgers: The Complete Third Season - 1/28/2020 No interest in Duck Dodgers since it can be streamed in HD on Boomerang, but hopefully this could lead to Taz-Mania and The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. Good to see Hangin' with Mr Cooper continued also. Whose Line is It Anyway Season 2 onwards would be extremely appreciated by me atleast. |

Apologies for replying to my own post, but it's a further question about the Warner Archive DVD releases of Dr. Kildare. Late last year I decided to get the first two seasons of the show from Deep Discount (the discs in both back-to-back DVD volumes were DVD-R discs (aka 'purple-sided discs'). But that didn't surprise me, as both seasons have been out now for several years). On the ninth disc in the Season One set, the last episode is "The Eleventh Hour (Pilot)". Yet when I checked the first season's episode list on the IMDb, this episode isn't listed. Have the Warner Archive included an episode of The Eleventh Hour as a bonus feature/extra?

Have checked the main IMDb page for The Eleventh Hour, and the answer is in the trivia section. It turns out the last episode on the ninth disc in the Dr. Kildare: The Complete First Season: Part Two set is the original version of the pilot of The Eleventh Hour. This original version was never shown on TV in the States. An edited version became the first episode of The Eleventh Hour.

I wish someone like Kino could strike a deal with Warners. There are so many WB dvds I would love to upgrade. The WAC is getting pretty aggravating (personally speaking). I think it's just Criterion, Olive and Twilight Time that would put out the occasional WB film...

Should it be around this week or next, when the Warner Archive Collection's February slate (both the DVD and Blu-ray titles) is announced?

Apologies for replying to my own post (can be like a tumbleweed in this forum at times). With the Warner Archive Collection now announcing their February Blu-ray titles, it should be in the next few days that we'll find out what the DVD titles are (hopefully they'll be added to Deep Discount very soon).
