No Miyu on bluray unfortunately. I am hopeful about the OVAs though.

Miyu is one of my favorite franchise, bluray release of the TV series and OVA are up there on my wish list.

AnimEigo still has the rights to the Vampire Princess Miyu OVA series, so there is definite hope if the film masters aren't lost forever. The DVDs have remained in-print for more than 20 years, though they stopped coming with the liner notes ages ago.

Miyu OVAs are from the same company as Project A-ko, Madox-01, Violence Jack, and Angel Cop. So I am hopeful about the film masters being rescued. Praying it's not a Genocyber senerio where the film materials are trashed and missing .

Thought it was interesting Chio's School Road is OOS at both Gruv and Amazon (except for secondary sellers) though still available at RS and the CR store. Coming up on 4 years since its release and is one of those shows that normally would have gotten an Essentials release by now. Although even younger releases like Africa Salaryman are on RS' "last chance" list. I'm not saying it's headed there too, just interesting. Wish we could get some clarity on how Crunchyroll will be releasing (re-releasing) stuff going forward. :\

Still would recommend buying anything FUNimation-branded while you still can as you'd rather be safe than sorry, especially with how much lower print runs are these days vs. the anime DVD bubble.

Bummer that the gruv limited edition bonanza seems to be over. I don't check it nearly as often as before, but I haven't seen a re-stock in over a week.

Even if I didn't buy them at their absolute lowest prices, I'm glad I went wild 2-3 years ago and bought just about everything under $20. It would be way too much effort and stress to try to pick up a bunch of titles one-by-one as they're going OOP and OOS and not necessarily on sale.

Kinda surprised it sold out already. Amazon dropped these all the way down to 35 not too long ago, so I assumed it wasn't selling well. While rightstuf is still the best place to buy anime in general, Amazon and/or Target usually end up being the historical lowest price (either on its own or part of B2G1) for Funimation limited editions.

With Crunchyroll limiting the print run for LEs going forward and thus selling out faster, I think there's significantly more risk in waiting for Amazon/Target discounts, especially since Target skipped the February B2G1. If we only get Target B2G1 once or twice a year, you can easily see some LEs go OOP before that.

I'm interested to see if newly released limited editions that go OOP end up making it onto gruv, or if the current situation is just for a handful of specific titles released in a specific time frame. You would think that if all the channels sell through their allotment that there wouldn't be any to clearance through gruv, but we'll see.
