Ouch - yeah, you really need The Last Dark movie, since it provides a decent and proper end to the story. I do have the Funimation LE Box set and the movie in my collection, and just finally received the AL Ultimate Delay Edition set with the movie included two months ago, after about an 8 month delay. Are you planning to get the AL LE set, or will they maybe release the movie separately at some point?

I had to check. Got the show during the Rightstuf big blow out on older Funimation LE’s and picked up the movie from Amazon in 2019 for like $10. I really need to get a updated list made of what I own.

I second this motion. The Last Dark is great even if it’s not as bonkers as it’s splatterpunk TV predecessor. It’s definitely closer in tone to Blood: The Last Vampire as it leaves behind the idyllic countryside for the big city: Neo-Ikebukuro! It’s a gorgeously animated picture (especially the opening 10-minutes) that mostly ties everything up in a neat bow.

It might be a bit of wait since both the Ultimate and Limited Editions are still in stock. I do highly recommend getting the Ultimate set because the art book is pretty informative about the Blood franchise and offers some insight into the creation of Blood-C. However, it is strictly a Region-B release.

Magi sets have been on this kind of notice for awhile (I've been monitoring). If they did dip enough in price I'd be in but otherwise not in a hurry.

Nisekoi? Box sets from 2020? I don't think so. I's more possible, that Monogatari singles will be sold out soon, due to existing in Japan (and in the future in USA) box fro a whole "season 3".

I already have Magi, but I was hoping to snag all the others on a sale. With 10% tax I don't see how I'll get them all. Persona 5 for 300? Yikes. All those volumes of March like a Lion? At least I know I need to jump on these ASAP

For MAGI they actually went back and did another run of one of the sets. They had enough remainders of one of them and they didn't want it to go to waste. I believe I got them on sale for 100 each, so I'm expecting it to drop that low again for anyone who wants it and doesn't have it.

Aniplex is consistently bad about their decision-making. They take their orders from Aniplex Japan, and their price-model will not be changed, and they aren't interested in re-releasing catalog titles. Leaving money on the table doesn't mean anything to them. From their perspective, if someone wants an anime badly enough then they should pay the $300 when they have the chance.

Yeah I think I'd buy at 20 off each if that happens. I do want them and while I'd prefer a complete set, it seems not super likely plus would it even be much cheaper.

Appreciate the info that one was re-issued.

Ugh. I already own the Magi sets, both the two AoA sets and the four Kaze UK sets, but I've been somewhat wanting to get the 4 AoA March/Lion sets for quite some time. I don't think I can swing getting all four sets at once even with any Holiday Sale discount, so I'll most likely be screwed on those. I'm not huge on the series, it would just be nice to have them in my Aniplex collection. Nisekoi though I'm not interested in at all, because comedy.
