Kind of surprised they sold out at $135 instead of the 100 mega deal. I was planning on picking up another copy of both if all the mega deals became active on the last day, but I guess that won't be happening now.

ninja scroll region a bluray is not available on any online stores anymore but they were reports that copies are still readily available at walmart etc...is this still the case?

I didn't know Walmart ever carried Ninja Scroll. It seems like the type of thing that they wouldn't want to carry in store.

Neither. I am waiting for slimmer physical releases. The Walmart sets and the recent OOP Complete Series set are too bulky for my taste.

Again though, if it never happens I am happy just streaming the series. No skin off my back.

So Rightstuf is regarded the authority for whether an anime title is OOP.

Maybe it had a smaller print run. Seems like a pretty standard funi limited edition. They don't like having the limited edition stick around for too long, and Amazon seems to act as sort of a clearancer of excess limited editions. Just look at the current prices for a lot of them right now: 35-45. They want them gone gone gone.

I'm thinking of just investing in a region free player at this point. Anyone here do this? With all these funimation releases going away. If I had a region free I could just import UK ones to watch and they might be of higher quality.

Lots of us, and the money you can save on Aniplex and Gundam from the UK alone will pay for it.

Only problem with Aniplex is I already own like good 3-4 parts of Monogatari and lots of other series, so I don't see myself switching over. For new stuff maybe.
