Do you worry about leaving the lights on in your room for fear of harming the screen?

I did this for 7 years and never noticed a problem. KCM has a point too.

Do yourself a favor and get either a tab tensioned drop down or figure out a way to lay out your room to hang a fixed frame.
I'm currently in the situation where I went with your same plan and am using a regular pull down screen. The edges of the screen curl in a bit and it drives me crazy, especially during scenes that pan.

Yes tab tension is for sure and I guess your right about light but ironically I never leave lights on in my HT except maybe 5 minute intermission between movies if I’m watching more than one
