Well no news on Blade, but it seems the standard remains 1080p, DTS HD MA 5.1 and no extra features. It is confirmed for Se7en, The Golden Compass, Hairspray and Jackie Brown (PQ and AQ are +). Perfume is also confirmed, but has unfortunately an 1.78:1 ratio instead of its original 2.35:1 ratio.

Decided to go for Se7en - it's my favourite film of all time and at just over £13, I think it's probably worth a go.

Watched the Dutch SE7EN Blu-ray yesterday and I think it's a descent release.
Absolutely barebones and Dutch subs only ,but PQ & AQ are very good !
Not the best I've seen but better then I expected.

These are released in the Netherlands. Not Germany.
Freerecordshop.nl
www.bol.com

I never used either, so I don't know how reliable they are.

I really hope Mediadis get RCVs new releases soon. None of them have come up even though they have all been released (Seven, JB, HoFD, Blade, etc). I have been watching them since the pre-release date but nothing yet.

Also, I thought Gangs of New York had considerably better PQ than the US/UK release and DTS HD-MA 5.1 surround sound. BTW, it's Region Free!

If you looked on the German Amazon, you should try Sieben. But good luck with finding Dutch Blu-Rays on German shops. :P

Mediadis is a Belgian retailer. As dvdinfo.be has reviews of them RCV should release them over there as well, but it might be Belgium has a different release date. I think it is the only shop which is English friendly.

Better news for those who want Blade. Someone posted specs on DVD.nl.
2.35:1 AVC 1080P
DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 (16-bits)
NL subs

However, there is some bad news. Some releases do have 1080i/50 and a wrong aspect ratio. Confirmed: The Curse of the Golden Flower, Perfume, Story of a murderer.

Nooff: Can you give more info on the specs of GONY? And in what way does it look better? I want to buy it, but I want to be sure.

Someone on AVS posted screenshots and it looked no different from all the others. Poster also said it was the same garbage transfer.

I did not buy it. However I am very happy with my beautiful new copy of Se7en.

The case states the disc should be Region a/b/c. The same for Gangs of New York. I did not check all releases, but seems to me most or all are region free.

I thought it looked a lot scharper and less waxy. I could be wrong though, since my other copy was sold long before, but from what I remember, it looked pretty good! I'll try and take a picture, although that doesn't really do the movie any justice.

Got my copy of the dutch release of se7en today, and aspect ratio is aboutright.Measured it on my screen to be 2.3:1,but might be somewhat erroneous.Reviewed it here on blu-ray.com.Happy with transfer.

As someone said:It is playable in regions A,B and C (Is that all regions?).

No extras or anything then?

I guess that's ok, but a better release could have been put out, but I suppose it allows for better overall AQ/PQ since it would leave more free space on the blu-ray.

No, except for some startup trailers. None of the RCV releases have any extras, except for some startup trailers.
