This is a fun and simple game. I’m really enjoying it. And the fact it was free it’s even better. I was getting ready to buy it on Black Friday but for some reason held on it.
Also, the loading times are fairly quick. 5-10 seconds of waiting is not something I’d complain about. |

It's not the loading times, it the loading screens; on PS5 they should be hiding this much better than they do; I even see the loading screen when moving from one area to another - that shouldn't be happening.
It is a fun game though, but this feels like a slightly polished up PS4 game with a PS5 tag attached to it. Still waiting on the Ray Trace update but I feel like by the time that arrives everyone will have completed it. Once I've hit 100% this will be deleted. |

At this early point, are there really any true PS5 games that don't strongly resemble what's visually possible on a PS4? I'm going to say besides the typical combination of faster frame rate/loading and higher resolution and reflections, I'm not seeing any true PS5 games yet.
I'm not impressed with what I've seen as "PS5" games yet. Watch Dogs Legion looks nearly identical to the PS4 version and even the textures are the same. Spider-Man MMorales looks nearly the same but for the crowds and cars increased. Is that a groundbreaking change? PS3 to PS4, that was a big visual difference IMO by the 2nd year. Hopefully 2021 will offer the same difference for PS4 to PS5. The PS5 was shipped a year too early. Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart looks like it could be next gen. |

Okay, it's "enhanced" for PS5, I hadn't see that, so when Sony added the PS5 version of Maneater to the PS+ games this month I assumed this was a genuine PS5 version of the game, not the PS4 game with added extras (which still haven't arrived yet).
Look, it's a lot of fun and I'll definitely complete it 100%, but the loading screens bug me, they shouldn't be there. This game shouldn't be showing loading screens on PS4 - it's not that big a map! |

Many games runs and loads better on ps5 even without a patch, the only thing this port does well is the 4k, because 60fps drops constantly
I guess the only answer for ‘why they didn’t just patch the ps4 version, is because they rushed re-released it as a ps5 game to take advantage of the small library at launch. they didn’t even bother to deliver what they listed in their ad, (ray tracing, dual sense support, and whatever they mean by ‘and more’) but anyway, let’s agree to disagree, I platted the game and forgot about it, just wanted to share my opinion about its quality |
