Are there any Region Free Blu-ray players that also have a Region Free DVD player in one?
Any links to decent ones that I don't have to do any modding or anything? |

Answer to first question -- almost all the Region Free BD also are region Free DVD
2nd question -- not if you mean region free from the manufacturer out of the box or region free for Blurays without manually changing the BD regions when needed. Otherwise the usual 220Electronics or Bombay modded players are the usual suspects -- Sony 1700/3700/6700, LG is you just want the cheapest model. I would love to see some of the better Panasonic BDP back in the US. The most simple self mod for a premium player would be a used OPPO 93 or 103 with the plug in module. |

I recently hacked a PS3 and it became region free for BDs/DVDs, so that's one cheap way of having a Region Free BD/DVD Player.
It's pretty easy and within 10mins it's done. |

Both are highly reputable and US based. I bought a Sony player from 220 about 7 years ago, still works like a charm and I have no complaints about their service or prices. A simple Google search will bring up their domain and reviews.

I have read about the PS3 firmware hack/mod, but also reading the many/most/some US players will not handle PAL Video even with the mod so if you are specifically interested an R2 DVD and some R4DVD (AUS) that could be a big problem. It might even be an issue with Zone B Blurays with 1080/50i encodes on Feature or extras.
