Same. I figured none of those three would hit their release date when Dragon Forever changed dates like 6 times. It was originally July!!! And moved like one month at a time many times.

I would like to get these movies but it seems they are struggling to get anything out.

They just released over half a dozen films. I know they've delayed many titles but it's a stretch to say they are struggling to get anything out.

I'm really curious what the issue is. They only released one film on time in the past 6 months here in the US and every single title outside of Blood and Diamonds was delayed. Just curious as to what the issue might be.

They posted this the other day in the Hell of the Living Dead 4K thread -

Occasionally....

The trouble is we have to commit to a schedule 4-5 months ahead for our sales agency but there are so many variables in these releases it can be a real struggle to hit these dates however well intended and thought out they are. I absolutely hate delaying releases, its always gutting when we have to...

Anyway, sorry
.
I’m sure this is relevant to both U.K. and US releases

As you can see from the post above, they really are struggling. The problem is unrealistic deadlines imposed by their distributors. The labels are forced to commit to a street date. I suspect that participation from subjects for extras could also be a factor. I think if someone doesn't or can't commit to an interview, the label should just go ahead with the release. Extras are nice but many are not worth waiting endlessly for.

A delayed release is no biggie for me. It's just a bit of delay on the satisfaction of owning the film. As much as we're excited to get our movies, it's ready when it's ready. In the vinyl industry, I've had many pre-orders taking 8+ months to be shipped. Obviously, companies should look into trying to set realistic dates for their releases, but I leave it to them to work that out, in the end I don't mind waiting, got plenty of catching up to do on other titles in my to watch pile.

Everyone does but for some reason release schedules and shipping and I got it before you takes precedence. Everyone should just take it easy and enjoy what they do have, a couple years ago 88 Films in the US was a dream and these awesome films we have the opportunity to get weren't even on the radar at all.

I got a delay notification from Bullmoose for Gorgeous. I think it was bumped to March as well.

Just got my pre-authorization charge for Dragons Forever 4K from BullMoose, so it should be shipping out soon. Can't wait to watch my favorite Hong Kong film on BluRay.

And it just shipped. Based on previous estimates, I've usually got pre-orders from BullMoose the Monday before release date.

I don’t know if this has been asked before, but why in the hell doesn’t 88 release their Cat III titles stateside? It’s like they’re keeping all their best titles in region B only, and it’s pretty annoying.

Maybe because Vinegar Syndrome has US rights? Expect an avalanche of those this year.

That would be awesome. I sure hope so. I really want to retire my HK pressing of Erotic Ghost Story, among others.
