Yeah I'm wondering if February's hint of "Ultra Gory HK title" is a hint for Ricki-Oh: The Story of Ricky.

I would be immensely disappointed for sure!

Have any special features been announced for the In the Line of Duty set? Trying to make an informed decision between 88 and Eureka.

I hope it's that, but I think they mentioned that it's a horror film, so that makes it seem like it's not Riki-Oh.

It's horror adjacent, with proto-slasher tendencies.

Nope. 88 are pretty bad with their UK announcements and even worse with their US announcements so it wouldn't surprise me if the features aren't released fairly close to release date (most likely after the Eureka titles have been released)

Just received my 1st 88Films BR with Dragons Forever. Wow! What packaging and extras! It's one thing to read about it, but totally different when you actually get it. I'm now a fan and they're the most bang for your buck as far as US distributors go.

With gothic-horror visuals.

Yeah I was super impressed with the release. I can see it being a top contender for best release in 2023.

Just give me more gialli; that's really all I need to make me happy...along with the occasional oddball release like LADIES WHO DO.

88's UK BD got a full 5.0 review on this site 3 years ago. Is there that much different besides the 4K upgrade? New extras?

There are a few new extras (interviews with the screenwriter and a stuntman) and a new commentary by Frank Djeng and FJ DeSanto. If you already have the 2020 release, there really isn't any reason to get this one unless you want the 4K which is a nice upgrade.

Just got back from vacation on the other side of the planet and Dragons Forever was waiting in my mailbox. Nice packaging and book. This, like Supercop, was a weird hole in my Jackie watching back in the day….no idea why I never saw those two, saw pretty much everything surrounding them. UHDs fixing that for me!

Considering how Unearthed Films will be releasing Calamity Of Snakes (1982) on Blu-ray fairly soon:

I really hope 88 Films (or Arrow Video) can release the Shaw Brothers' film The Killer Snakes (1974) on Blu-ray here in the U.S.!

Isn't the main reason to get any UHD is because it is a nice upgrade?

Apart from the video, the audio on Dragons Forever 4k was also newly remastered (this includes the mono track). It sounds significantly better than the previous release.

Both films are grotesque in their exploitation of animal cruelty and death.
