I checked back a number of pages but did not see mention;

Has anyone watched "Grimm's Notes" ? and if so;
- any good?
- might it be too dark for a 12 year old?
- if it is, is it dark enough for a Hellsing lover to enjoy? (me)

Thanks much!

I remember (barely) dropping this after 2-3 episodes.

The next door neighbors we back over the last two nights for more FMA:Brotherhood, we finished episodes 53-55 Friday night and 56-61 last night. Three more eps to go, and The Sacred Star of Milos to watch yet, and I'm pretty sure they will be back over tonight to finish up, making four nights in a row of FMA goodness!

Finished the FMA:B series tonight, eps 62-64, but my neighbors couldn't stay for the Milos movie, he had to do some homework for a college course he is taking. So, another night for the movie.

Haha! I was just perusing through the first few pages of this thread from back in 2013, and I stumbled across the post where I evidently experienced an anime-induced epiphany - when I first realized that I was a big fan of "Girls with Guns" anime, eventually prompting me to change over my account on the forum five months later to this one with my current name, lol...

Heavy Metal is a classic, too bad we never got more like it, yes I know there was a 2000 version, but it doesn't even come close to the original.

IMO Redline is kinda similar to Heavy Metal.

Anyhow decided to keep watching more of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
So more goofy & weird characters show up.
Including two new girls, one a cute freshman who wants to be the "cute girl on campus", and a busty tan girl who is also psychic (she offered herself to Saiki and he turned her down...)

BNA Brand New Animal so Netfilx Japan released the first 6 episodes of the new Trigger anime, I watched the first four. I guess anthropomorphic animals are the new isekai because it seems like there's a new anime (or multiple ones) with them every season now. I know anime has had animal/human characters for a long time but shows where most of the cast are those characters seems to have really taken off since Disney's Zootopia came out, and the cheaply made Kemono Friends became a huge hit.
Well Trigger has decided to jump on the band wagon, and while it's not a buddy cop show, that's basically what it feels like. With a Wolf and Tanuki teaming up and stopping crimes while investigating the mystery of the Tanuki's condition. There are humans (the beast people are all just in one city) but they seem more there to create the conflict to drive the story which focuses on the beast people.
It's OK so far, doesn't seem like anything really new to be honest and the animation isn't really that great, seems like Trigger lost a step not using as many key frames as their other shows (though maybe that's just how I perceive it). The character designs are the usual cartoony Trigger stuff, not the upgrade they did for Gridman. Songs are catchy though.
Since this is a Netfilx show it's probably going to be a while before you will be able to see it legally or on Blu-ray here any time soon, though honestly I don't think you'll really be missing anything.

(edit watched 5&6 5 was probably the best episode so far, 6 was back to the meh of the first 4)

Just watched the first couple episodes of the new Ultraman anime on Netflix the other day, it's pretty good so far.

Though admittedly, it's my first and only exposure to the character, and I'm an avid Godzilla fan. Isn't that weird?

Starting Now....

Zombie Land Saga

Episode 1 after action report
Love this one so far, up till now I've only seen subbed clips of it on line.

I love Tae and I hope she gets her complete mind and voice back in season 2, since I actual know of her VA Dawn M. Bennett,
and of one of her other VA and singing appearances.
She plays Elm, one of the ACE-OPS in RWBY, and she also sang on the WAR track in the show ( the RWBY v ACE-OPS fight song )

And in Zombie Land Saga she is credited in the Adaptation and Direction of the songs into English

Just got past episode 100 in Black Clover last night. I'm glad I gave it a second chance because I absolutely love it now. The first handful of episodes are rough but it gets so much better. I'd put it behind Demon Slayer as far as my favorite recent series but it's up there. The characters are great.

Well, I'd suggest you are in the right thread ( besides the sister thread "what have you finished watching?") to discover opinions on shows that are available now.
Just cruise into the older pages and scroll through each, most of us Bold our Titles of the shows so easy to pick out.
Have fun!
