I would guess return by mail, they will extend return periods accordingly, stores will eventually reopen?

The item I received in exchange was also damaged/returnable but I didn't even bother just wanted to gtfo of there.

Had a preorder in for ISPU, but started to worry that they would shut down by next Tuesday to where even curbside would not be possible. Just placed a second order for shipping.

So I’ve only ordered from Best Buy once or twice a few years back...had my preorder and delivery set last month sometime...does anyone know when we should be expecting shipping confirmation? I know they sometime have sent the release a day or two early...just wondering if anyone else has received theirs

Usually the early shipments arrive on the Friday/Saturday/Monday prior to release Tuesday(in this case next Tuesday). Based on my own experience, prior to the pandemic, I would usually receive my orders on Friday or Saturday. The last two weeks worth of orders have been overnighted to arrive on Tuesday.
I did notice with the last two weeks I received no pre-authorization emails prior to the shipment, but I did with all my SW preorders. So Iím hopeful BB has scrambled after all the pandemic news and shipments might be headed my way early again.
We should find out soon as folks post that they received shipping confirmation.

I've been experiencing the exact same.

I think a virus has plagued the postal service for a long time.

How do you even initiate a return/exchange from the parking lot? Do they have an employee just standing out in the curbside pickup area?

For me, my return of 1917 was easy. The BB employee asked me to place the SB in one of those yellow baskets then he took a picture of my phone showing the order number so that he could refund me. Their registers were at the front door. It went much smoother than going in-store.

I still have that option. Maybe it's based on location?

Is anybody worried about their steelbook's coming from Best Buy being infested with the coronavirus? We take for granted how many dirty/unclean/ungloved hands that our steelbook's & movie discs have passed through during their production that we don't even realize how unsanitary they could actually be on the inside/outside.

Sanitize them with a Lysol wipe or whatever and wash your hands afterwards. It's a good idea to do this with most things you're bringing into the home right now.

What I'm doing for all my packages is open them and put the item aside in a designated area and leave them there for a week so any virus on it will die.

I use disposable gloves even to grab my mail from my mailbox. Then I leave the package in direct sunlight (nothing than will melt since its winter).

Steelbook, movie cases, I wipe with Clorox wipes (still in their plastic wrapper).

I have Lysol spray that I use on other items. If I go out (grocery store, other stores), I literally take my clothes off (top layer) in my garage, put the clothes in a bucket of soapy water and wash my hands and face with soap, then walk in.

Plus it helps that Im working from home and only go out to stores when needed. Facetime the family. Not taking any chances.

I wipe down all packaged items that enter my house: groceries, parcels, dry goods etc. Then wash my hands after handling paper mail. Once you develop a system, the daily practice becomes and easy routine.
Could be overkill, but better safe than sorry.
