Secondly, two new DVD titles have been added to the Coming Soon section on Network's website (titles and their release dates are subject to change):

Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted - The Extended Director's Cut - Monday 30th January, 2023
Stand by for Action!: Gerry Anderson in Concert - Monday 28th November, 2022.

*****

Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted - The Extended Director's Cut is also being released on Blu-ray by Network on the same date (this will likely have been posted about in the Network Blu-ray thread in the UK & Ireland sub-forum, along with a Blu-ray-only release of Presented in SuperColorisation (which has a UK release date of Monday 12th December, 2022).

Recently, I had seen a pre-order listing on Deep Discount (in the Coming Soon section for US boutique label MPI Home Video) for a DVD-only release of Gerry Anderson: A Life Uncharted (it has a release date of Tuesday 10th January, 2023).
Have ordered Stay Lucky and The Chief which were on my wanted list waiting for a sale.

I was at Uni during the filming of The Chief and remember them "blowing up" the arcade by Norwich market. Kept hoping they would film an episode at the Uni (UEA) but they never did. A quality drama though, from memory. Not watched it in a long time. Looking forward to it.

I'm hoping Network do another TV sale around Black Friday time and just before Christmas with titles The Main Chance, The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes and Sergeant Cork included.

The first Danziger Brothers Blu-ray titles (The Cheaters (the cast including John Ireland), The Vise, Mark Saber and Saber of London) will be also available from Amazon UK later this month (can't find them on HMV's website), but based on what one poster said recently in the Network Blu-ray thread here, the best chance of getting the remainder of these series completed on Blu-ray is by buying directly from Network. If these titles eventually are in a sale, it'll be interesting to see if they come close to what Amazon UK have for them on pre-order. I try to support Network directly when I can.

United Kingdom Network sale

Checked the Network website earlier for any possible new additions to the Coming Soon section, and saw that they have a 2 for 10 offer on 150 titles (film and TV titles on DVD).

I couldn't see it stated on Network's website when this offer ends, but having checked their Facebook page, it states the offer ends at 4 pm GMT on Monday 21st November.

United Kingdom Fabulous Films

Didn't really know where to put this, but as a UK dvd distributor thread, this seemed the most logical thread.

Have noted that much of FF's blu ray and dvd releases of 70s/80s retro tv (Miami Vice, Magnum, Quantum Leap, $6m etc) is about 20% off in the Amazon UK black friday sale (a lot of these are showing in the deals list above).

Still bigger than my wallet at these discounts, but may be helpful information for someone?

No problem posting it here cutback. I can ask for the thread title to be adjusted to include Fabulous Films. I'm tempted into getting their Blu-ray release of the original Quantum Leap series. FF's Blu-ray releases of TV series have been rather mixed regarding weighing up which release or releases are the best ones (I can think of The A-Team, The Incredible Hulk, Magnum, P.I. and Knight Rider). The last posts I read in the UK & Ireland sub-forum about FF's Quantum Leap boxset suggested it's the better Blu-ray release.

United Kingdom Crossroads: The Noele Gordon Collection

A new TV on DVD title has been added to the Coming Soon section on Network's website today (a hefty DVD boxset), Crossroads: The Noele Gordon Collection. The release date stated is Monday 30th January, 2023 (title and it's release date are subject to change). Below is the Network website DVD pre-order listing page link (I suspect the artwork isn't final):

United Kingdom Latest Network sale

Had hoped the Danziger Brothers Blu-ray volumes might have made their first appearance in a sale on Network's website (correct me if I'm wrong about that, and was it around June/July last year when the first volumes as well as The Cheaters: The Complete Series were released? (as an exclusive, until November last year when they were made available elsewhere (I know they're on Amazon UK and HMV).

But there are two or three TV titles in the twenty pages of discounted film and TV titles I'm interested in. Noticed the Callan TV reference book is also among the discounted items.

United Kingdom Anthology series

I hadn't heard of the anthology TV series Conceptions of Murder until reading an old post in the UK & Ireland thread for the Network Blu-ray releases of Countess Dracula, Hands of the Ripper and Twins of Evil (Hands of the Ripper I'm thinking about double-dipping on, because of the exclusive bonus features/extras, unless the film gets a new restoration and master), that an episode of Conceptions of Murder is one of the extras on Network's DVD and Blu-ray releases of Countess Dracula.

I do like my anthology series (been watching episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents since last autumn), and am hoping we see more physical media releases of anthology series from Network this year (complete series and all surviving episodes of series).

(about the BOGOF offer).

Meant to post about this yesterday, so you've saved me doing it Cutback.

I've said it recently, but Network's offers/sales are done differently to some other boutique labels (a batch of DVD titles taking turns, with occasional offers/sales including Blu-ray film and TV titles).
