So, if you must buy a DVD (only suggesting this as a harm minimisation tactic), please, NEVER get a PAL DVD of something that is soundtrack heavy (popular music or orchestral/synth track etc), lest you be listening to sped-up, pitchy shit.
I don't have much choice unfortunately, but I'll be saying farewell to DVD as soon as I can.

While I very rarely watch any DVDs these days mainly due to how bad they look upscaled on a 4K T.V (on my previous smaller standard HD TV I didn’t remember them looking quite this bad) I can say that I have never had any sensitivity to these speed and pitch issues that PAL content suffers from. I guess my brain doesn’t hear anything different or “wrong”.

After watching Overlord, Prime offered me:

I have to say that I found it rather boring, despite the cast of excellent actors!

I have bought a lot of my Blu Rays from cash convertors lately for $3 a pop but I haven't been lucky enough to get any 4K's for that cheap

The only 4K I have bought from them was Knives out for $6.00

I've seen this a couple of times (20+ years ago) but I never could get into it either.
