Upgraded from a 65C7 to the 77CX. I've had it for a week. Absolutely no issues. No banding, no tinting, or nothing else unusual so far. First impressions of PQ are that it's an evolutionary upgrade. HDR luminance is improved and at times can stand out from the C7. Color saturation compared to my C7 looks a fair bit better. It's more natural though I have no measurements to prove it. Features wise - it's been fantastic. ALM works wonderfully. The menus are near instant. Input lag for gaming is improved a Looking forward to 120 FPS and VRR later on.

Arguably the biggest difference though is the size. That has improved my viewing experience more than the panel improvements.

I think I asked this before AGES ago, but...anyone know of a good way/site to sell my current TV? My previous experiences with Craigslist left a very bitter taste in my mouth

Well done, I did exactly the same, I upgraded from a 65" B7 to a 77" CX last week. Worth every penny, the picture is superb.

I'm glad I didn't go for the Sony A9 as a colleague who bought one says the Android software is full of bugs, whilst LG's Web Os is fast, slick and responsive.

I haven't seen the C8 or C9, but the shadow detail in the CX looks superb compared to my C7. My C7 required me to pick between showing all shadow detail and having some near black noise, or losing shadow detail and having inky blacks. CX has the best of both worlds.

So glad to see the Apple app finally landing on my B8.

I'm still totally happy with it, and see no need to upgrade. Oh I can appreciate the marginal improvements being made (and I probably wouldn't buy a LG again, but a Panasonic OLED) but it still stands up as a stunning TV IMHO.

The shadow detail might slightly better on the C10, however, overall TV improvement is not dramatic. From looking at the C10 and Sony A9G (best looking to TV to me), all OLED still need to improve in that area.

I can't get Atmos audio from the new Apple TV app on my B8 OLED.

It's connected via ARC to a Atmos capable Denon receiver, and I'm selecting titles that have Atmos listed but all I get is DD+.

I can't find any settings related to Atmos in the app. Am I doing anything wrong?

The OLED65E6P is still the best "all around" package with outstanding 3D, 4K, and more. All well-mastered Blu-ray discs look phenomenal on it!

Go under your sound settings and make sure that it's set to Auto. Mine was on PCM and I wasn't getting Atmos. As soon as I switched it to Auto it was been working just fine.

Cheers.

I checked and it already was set to Auto but now it works in the app. Weird, but OK! as long as it's working now.

Yeah, I have the C6, and I'm not even close to the biggest 3D fan in the world, but I do have a handful of titles I really like watching in 3D that I would definitely miss when the time comes that I need to replace the display. I might actually go back to projectors in the future, which seem to be the last man standing right now when it comes to 3D (not just for that, but it's a plus).

So...Rtings requires a paid membership now to see the results of their reviews???

Was just now checking reviews on different soundbars and after 3 of them I was told I had "0/3 full reviews left", and that I had to become an "Insider" if I wanted to see their scores in their reviews. $10 USD/moth or 45 for a year.

I get, and appreciate that they buy their test units, and are not sent review products by companies but... wow.

Does anyone know what custom settings (de-blur and de-judder numbered setting) the new "cinema clear" mode refers to, so I could maybe see what an approximation looks like on my B8?

I'm assuming this is a new, less aggressive setting than the older presets.

Hello, i currently have the LG EF9500, bought it used with some burn in, was looking at this one, OLED65E6P, used with some burn in.

i have a bunch of 3d movies, is the latter much better? i do have a decent collection of 4k movies, maybe around 250. is it worth it for the Dolby Vision? i guess my current tv doesn't have it but the latter does. What exactly is DV, is it on 4k discs and some streaming content? i don't watch much prime or apple 4k.

Thanks

Dolby Vision COULD be on both discs and streaming content. There is a list somewhere on this form that has all current DV discs. You will also need a UHD player that supports DV. The E6 should be a superior tv for many other reasons as well but I dont know that its worth whatever it costs you.
