Maybe deuterium is the real deal?
I'm had my C9 since it came out and it get's a good amount of use. No signs of burn-in.

That's reassuring then, now that summer is winding down(my busy season) I,m currently playing GOW 2018 for the first time and I've been putting in 4-6 hours of gameplay on the weekends as of late and there is quite a few games on my wishlist of both stores that should be going on sale for the upcoming holidays so I expect that to keep pace for a while. I've also been told by a few people to go for the C2 over the G2 as its close enough in spec but I haven't researched the C2 enough.

Just a little update on the whole Disney + App isssue: LG and Disney finally fixed the app to where all LG owners can now switch back and forth between the IMAX Enhanced Version and the regular Widescreen Version of some of the MCU films on there. I'm glad they finally figured it out! Once again, LG and or Disney has answered my complaints!

People need to actually take the time to describe their actual use case.

Not just “ oh I have had mine for # amount of time, no issue “

lol

Some examples or people’s replies are moot if they don’t reply with some of these questions,

- How long do you watch in hours per day?
- How long do play the same content?
- Do you mix up the content you watch?
- If so, how often in hours?
- Do you run the mini pixel Refresher after every 4 hours of use?
- When not around the TV, do ya leave it on & on a static image?

Etc etc etc.

Here is one bit of info I can share because I have a service remote. Divide Power on Time into JB aka Mini Pixel Refreshers to get an exact on-time average. Over 650 with around 3500 hours.

My average on-time with my C1 is 5.6 hours.

this all is good info, I know my own use case is i'm out of the house during the weekday daytime for the most part and when home I usually watch on the upstairs living room or kitchen tv's with the wife until around 8pm when she is in the thick of her shows then I head downstairs usually from 8-11ish so usually 3 hours a day during the week and its mostly satellite tv or Blu-Ray shows or Itunes purchased shows. Weekends are 6+ hours of usage and can be anything from 4K Blu-Ray to itunes or gaming in general when in to a game(although I can go months without turning on the consoles) I have been watching a fair amount of 4X3 Blu-Ray content in older shows as of late but nothing more than a few episodes a day if that. I'll have to look into the pixel refresher. I've seen a few Youtubers say to disable pixel shift and a few other settings. I myself don't leave the tv on when not around, If i'm going upstairs for a few minutes or less I do but otherwise I shut it off. I will also leave it paused for a brief period of time but only briefly say 5 min or less.

The LG C2 (latest model) 65" is at it's lowest price so far at Best Buy ($1799.99). I am curious if it hits any lower in price the closer we get to Black Friday. They have the C2 77" for $1000 more. I have been on the 4K television fence, mainly waiting until I finish with my house remodel. I may jump at the C2 later this year or wait it out for the C3, but the price point may be more attractive to me on the C2 than having the C3 at a higher price next year.

LG just started a promotional sale on the 65" C2 for $1,799 and the 77" C2 is also on sale for $2,799.

Should be the same price at all authorized dealers. Check with your favorite authorized dealer for your best deal.

Curious if the $1799.99 price point will be the lowest we see this year, with it going until the end of October, Black Friday would then be less than a month away, I could see them bringing that price for BF events, but any lower would be interesting.

Insurance company is getting this as the replacement;. https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/lg/lg-c2-65...v-2022/410910/

I was going to ask if I could pay the extra 3000 and get the 77", but my room just isn't big enough for it.

Congrats on the insurance err... mean C2.

Heck my premium warranty doesn’t cover cosmetic damage, only a very specific set of rules that have to happen in order for a tech to “consider” fixing, not replacing.

At least with the C2, you are guaranteed to have the second gen OLED Panel from LG.

I have noticed this a few times while streaming YouTubeTV and watching a movie (HDMI connected 4k player) on my 65' C1. The input will act like it is switching inputs for a second, but then goes back to the original input without any issue. I don't have more details because as soon I think about it happening, the input comes back and I more or less forget about it. The technical term would maybe be "the screen glitches for a second, looks like it has something to do with the input, and then the picture comes back."

Guys i have a strange problem with my LG CX. I have my Series X connected directly to my soundbar (Samsung Q990B), wich of course is connected to the tv through eARC. When i turn on the Xbox the tv doesn't switch directly to "soundbar port", but if i press the Home button on the Xbox controller the tv switch to the HDMI input correctly. If i connect the Xbox directly to the tv it switch automatically to the HDMI input without any problem. Same thing with my PS5 connected to the tv: i turn it on and the tv automatically swith on the related HDMI port where the console is connected. Why does is behave in that way? Is it normal? Could it depends on the fact that the Xbox is connected to the soundbar instead to the tv? But in that case i don't understand why when i press the Home button on the Xbox pad the tv automatically switch to the console.

My use is about 60% 1080P Blu-Ray/Satellite TV 20% gaming and 20% 4K Blu-Ray/Streaming and some of my viewing is 4X3 older shows. I'm only a casual gamer and can go months without turning on either console but when I do get into a game I can easily go 4-6+ hours at a time on a game although its not an everyday thing. Hopefully the G2 can serve me well and the 5 year warranty is a plus.
My CX has 2 years and almost 4.000 hours on it. I play games a lot and i watch a lot of movies. No sign of burn-in at the moment.

Am edging close to 4K Hours on my 11 month C1.

Am not concerned about burn-in, just dead pixels now.

Got the latest Costco coupon book in the mail, first page they show the C2 65" for $1699.99 + $75 streaming service credit, and the C2 77" for $2499.99. Other sizes available too. This sale is from October 26-November 20th. Will this be the lowest price of the year or does anyone think they will dip even lower through retailers?

Same at all ^^ authorized LG Dealers. Check with your favorite authorized dealer for their additional promotional savings.

I don't see the prices going any lower. LG is starting the promotional holidays season sale prices early this year.
