This is the purpose of buying an extended warranty with a TV, is to eliminate any worries and to have a piece of mind of any present of future breakdowns that may occurred over a long period of time. An extended warranty is highly recommended when purchasing a brand new TV because, something will likely go wrong with it, after the one-year manufacturer's warranty expires.

Yep.

I got the 5-year warranty through BB. However, the 1st year isn’t covered by BB.

Just checked. Looks like I’m in the clear if something happens.. BB coverage started 10/13/21 & ends 10/13/25

Bye LG...

My B8 is being retired this afternoon, replaced by a Sony A95K.

Not even 5 years. What a waste.

It's not like it's gone to landfill. It's up for sale so someone can have a great TV for cheap.

Anyway, 4 years is pretty ancient for a TV around these parts.

Just messin”

I actually know some people who swap OLEDs every time a new one is released. I kinda feel bad for them but hey, it their money not mine.

I know I won’t go back to OLED, so I’m looking forward to Mini-LED next until Micro takes the throne.

Surpassed 4,000 hours on my LG C1 now.

Just came here to say I did get a “notification” upon turning off the TV saying Pixel Cleaning will start with an “OK” prompt.

Some mentioned they didn’t receive a second notification after 4,000 hours.

I never got a first notification after 2,000 hours.

Finally broke down and bought the LG 77" C2 since Amazon had it for 2496.99. I've had my eye on it for a little bit now, and almost jumped when it was 2799.99. Cannot wait to check this out.

Maybe the A95L or A95M.

Though I’m still not sold on OLED even after 4K hours.

Got a mystery or two here.

When panasonic 4k player is plugged into LG TV via HDMI then to Sony soundbar via Earc, audio is in sync but I can't access Dolby Atmos or DTS-HD

When the 4K player is connected to the soundbar then out to the TV, I can get Atmos and DTS-HD, but there is a sync issue.

Regardless of connection, soundbar is slow to start a LPCM or Dolby Atmos track, with a second or two of silence.

Any suggestions on where the fault may lie?

LG TV make is lg oled48a16la

Soundbar is Sony atmos soundbar ht-g700

thanks

Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the on screen volume adjustment display on the LG C2 when you raise or lower the volume?

When I adjust the volume on the LG's Universal Remote is displays on the right hand side of the TV screen, when I adjust via soundbar remote, no display on the right hand side of the screen. I'd prefer to only use one remote if possible, so I'd love to be able to just use the LG's Universal Remote.

Hi guys, since this morning I have a strange problem: I can't see the live TV anymore. Until yesterday it worked, now it doesn't. The antenna works well, but I can't see any channel. Any suggestion?

Video Only has a crazy sale on LG OLED's right now, it is a retailer in the Pacific Northwest (Washington/Oregon) with some locations in California. They have the 65" C2 for $1399.99 and the 77" C2 for $2099.99. The sales person told me if I was interested he would go down to $1310 and throw in the 5-year warranty and $1985 for the 65" also with the included warranty. New in the box too, people were reporting they thought it was the B-series but many online as well as myself confirmed it was the C-series. Tax, of course, is extra.

Well, that's crazy good. I paid 4k for my GX.

So I've started to notice macroblocking on my TV and I never noticed it before. I originally passed it off as a Directv issue as I did not have any issue while playing 4K movies.

That was until I started watching a tv series on Blu-ray the last week and even while playing a BD film...I can see macroblocking.

I also just watched the same film on my cheaper Vizio in the other room and no macroblocking which has me thinking it's a tv issue.

Any ideas? It looks like the poor girl has a serious rash on her arm and face lol.

I was thinking the same thing. But I see that Best Buy had it but now it's sold out.
