If that's the one I am thinking of, isn't it the one edited to heck?

The Mill Creek releases and complete series set have Love And Marriage on all of the episodes and the episodes are uncut. The Sony releases including the complete series set has Love And Marriage removed for most seasons and syndicated versions of certain episodes are used. However, the Sony releases of seasons 1 and I think season 2 do have special features, specifically season 1 does have the Married With Children reunion.

I just checked and my promo code is still working. If anyone misses their chance, supposedly it is $24.96 on Amazon right now. For close to a dozen seasons, it's a heck of a deal.

Need to get around to buying this Mill Creek set. I mostly watched the syndicated re-runs weeknights as a kid before Late Night with Conan was on. So there are probably a bunch of 'uncut' episodes I haven't seen yet.

I think this is also $24.96 in stores at Walmart. I have been thinking of grabbing it but always put it back before I go to the checkout

It's also the Mill Creek one, looks like. Which means it's as original with the content as it gets compared to the Sony one.

For those with the original Sony version, is this worth the upgrade?

The Sony version is edited like no tomorrow. Episodes were cut down for broadcast length in some circumstances. The Mill Creek ones are uncut/unedited.

If you want to experience the show with as little editing done to the original show as possible, the Mill Creek one is worth it.

I believe the Mill Creek set is more compressed as it is spread across less discs. This is also the case with their Roseanne and Grounded for Life sets. And just like those sets, the original sets are still the betterr overall releases, as only a few Seasons originally used syndicated episodes.

In this case, other then the theme music which was replaced from Season 3 on in the Sony release, only a few episodes in Season 3 and 4 were syndicated. So it's best to buy the Complete Sony series for the extras and better compression, and grab the Season 3/4 double pack Mill Creek release for the few episodes that are now uncut.

Anyone have or come across screencap comparisons of the Sony vs. Mill Creek sets?
