I feel like something was made just slightly off, as same issue with the artbook for me. The plastic slipcover though… mine slides off no issue at all. How do your disc look? Mine are pristine except the disc with the special edition films on it. I’ve submitted a ticket to Right Stuf for that one, it’s extremely rough, and for what it’s worth I did test it, can’t even get the disc to play. Found it weird as of all the Gundam releases I’ve gotten from them, first time I’ve had a bad disc.

I noticed slight scratches on disc 1 and 4 of Part 1 of the Remastered set other then that the other discs look pristine.

Noticed this with the Standard Def. Artwork though looks like it either rubbed off or the printer was having trouble as long the discs work though i am fine with it.

I believe 2 years is the minimum from Japanese video release to any of the RightStuf/Nozomi releases, and considering that only finished airing in 2020, we’d probably be looking at late 2022 or sometime 2023 even.

It really baffles me why they don't just do the whole Origin. It sold like gangbusters, most people loved it, they've assembled all the cast and the crew, Furuya and Ikeda aren't getting any younger, people are clamouring for a First Gundam remake and The Origin is different enough that it can still provide something 'new' for people who've seen First Gundam millions of times, like I have

I'm definitely waiting on a price drop of Seed Destiny (or regular edition). The Seed Set was definitely not worth the money, for me personally.

It's overpriced and oversized. I still don't like how the inside where the cases are is being held up by flimsy cardboard. The only reason to buy it is the Ocean dub imo.

Agreed. I've gotten over the need for these giant add box sets. Now I literally want the discs in a regular sized case that will fit on my shelf. I really only watch the subtitles anyways, so all the extras are wasted on me. Wish they released the regular editions alongside the deluxe, but I know they do that to get as many sales of the expensive version as possible.

Only gundam really missing is Wing, I wish they would reprint it.

Either I buy the overpriced CE box on EBAY or buy the 3 volume singles. Rather have the CE to match the rest I bought.

I'm really curious what they are going to put out next. I imagine the normal editions of Seed and Destiny are up to bat early next year, but from there they could go a few ways.

I'm hoping for eventual releases of Twilight Axis and a HD release of the Turn A movies. Maybe stateside releases of the Hathaway and the G-Reco movies eventually.

I gotta give Nozomi/Rightstuf credit, in the last 5 or so years, they have managed to push out the lion's share of the franchise. Just about everything is now released outside of a few rare stragglers and archive material. (And SD Gundam if that was included in their deal.)

Hoping they aren't just going to pad a couple of years by releasing standard sets of SEED/Destiny. Seems to be taking a awfully long time to get those out. I imagine Build Divers Re:Rise is somewhere at top of the pipeline.

I just finished watching the original edition of SEED Destiny a few days ago - honestly liked it better than SEED. Planning to watch remastered version sometime this spring. And then I can finally move on to the next show (that probably has a layer of dust by now). Once I hit the one/two cour shows it'll be a breeze to catch up.

Standard edition SEED really is taking forever to come out. It feels like the Ultra Edition released forever ago.

I'm going to be starting Destiny soon. My set came in the mail today. I didn't care much for SEED, so hearing you say you preferred Destiny gives me hope.
