Thank you. I used google translate but sounds like another mixed bag with minimal benefits.

Even upscales of a modern anime have been iffy on the format (like Weathering with you for example), so I remain weary.

I don't have the Blu, but the Hathaway, NT and Doan Island 4K all look phenomenal to me.

Seems that you will need a pretty good TV like an OLED just to notice or take advantage of those minimum 4K UHD enhancements.

I just take the cases out and most time sell the extras on ebay. I just wanted the discs/cases, and this is the cheapest way to get it all.

Makes sense, they likely didn't have to print as many Ultra Editions for Destiny because they didn't have a general replacement like Seed did.

Hoping that whenever the Seed movie eventually comes out, they do a SE that matches the Ultra Editions for Seed/Destiny. I was initially worried about these Ultra Editions, but the large box artwork and full size artbook has grown on me.

The weird thing on the English Dub credits for CDI - standard for the Rightstuf releases - was that there were actors credited for characters who didn't even appear, making it seem as if they used the Gundam Origin credits as a template and edited it improperly for CDI's release. I know it's meaningless, but I hope it gets fixed.

Hong Kong release of Cucuruz Doan's Island is on a BD25 according to the back cover.

A BD-25 makes sense, given the short runtime and lack of supplements. I doubt we'll get anything better if/when Righstuf/Nozomi releases it.

I have never been able to get into Gundam. It's not for a lack of trying - I've tried watching Gundam Wing, Turn A, the original series, and a couple of others to boot. And for some reason, aside from the excellent Iron Blooded Orphans, it show never quick clicked for me.

Its not the animation style, I love shows that are older - Star Blazers, Speed Racer, gatchaman and it's ilk. And I love that gritty nihilist war drama, so that wasn't it. It just wasn't the show for me - but that didn't keep me from trying!

So when I saw War in the Pocket was on sale at TRSI for 10 bucks, and I found reviews praising the hell out of the show - I figured what the hell. A 6 episode OVA, I figure the worst I was out was the price of a Mocha and 3 hours of my life.

I liked it! I really liked it!

Maybe it was the short run time? Maybe it was the smaller, more personal story? No idea - but I really liked it. The emotional "war sucks" message, the realistic take (well, as realistic as you can get in a Giant Mecha series ), the well written characters, the gorgeous art - this thing was great from top to bottom.
