Yeah that crowd was flat lined from the opening segment from what I saw.

For the record I was impressed by them all in the ring.
I only watch NXT takeovers and that's about the extent of my viewings, but IMO, an NXT call up to the big shows should be at the right time in the right environment to get the biggest response to make a huge deal. A Raw in Lafayette less than 2 months before WrestleMania was the absolute wrong time to do it. All of the ones that debuted are very impressive in the ring, being current and former champs in NXT, but all this did was hurt them going forward.

It was awesome to see the NXT callups last night but the crowd didn't have a clue as to what was going on to begin with or something.

Agreed. The only options you really have is to vignette the hell out of them for months, which is tiresome because they then either do squash matches until the crowd comes around or you have them do a run-in during a ppv match making an instant statement. Announcing them at the start of the show without them in the ring via video highlights is really ****ing stupid. They could have very easily done another invasion style scenario during Wrestlemania and have them all come in and make a statement saying it's their time and they're not waiting.

I mean much of the audience are children nowadays, it's just another byproduct of the terrible choice to stop being a adult oriented show. If AEW is smart they capitalize on that and make sure not to make the same mistake WWE is making right now. Catering your product to a bunch of 0 income children who will 9 out 10 forget wrestling even exists when they hit puberty. By the time they are in high school lol to anyone who thinks these kids will continue watching WWE.

I know myself didn't watch from the early 90's to around 1999 or so when the Goldberg/ Monday night wars was in full swing. Even with a roster with half the talent of today the product was better and the crowds at times epic!

I'm still an idiot I guess for thinking maybe someone will smarten the hell up someday and stop producing this as a damn kids show!

Missed Raw last night again (girl comes first). It's awesome that those NXT talents debuted, but it was really stupid to announce them first. I also keep hearing about the crowd being deader than dead. I watched a few videos and holy shit that might have been the worst crowd of all time. There are certain cities WWE should avoid at all costs when it comes to TV and PPV and Lafayette, Louisiana is one of them.

Anywho, I hope it's Shane who turns on Miz, I think we've seen Miz being heel a few times. Must have been over 15 yeaars ago Shane was a heel?

Technically, he was the heel at Crown Jewel when this all started.

And I do think something will occur at Fastlane. Itís no coincidence that itís in Mizís hometown. Though I have no interest in a singles match at Mania regardless of who plays the heel.

Yes he was so over, but he wasn't over because the WWE Writers made him over, he was over because he was very good and the audience liked him.

A situation the WWE Writers don't like much. The WWE Stars should be over only when the writers want it

okay now the WWE are more desperate because of the bad ratings, thats why Kofi gets a chance at Fastlane. (a well deserved chance)

Officials turned him into a jobber then took off him TV for awhile to kill off his popularity because Vince McMahon hated the "TEN!" chant. This kind of booking is what ruined fan interest in guys like Zack Ryder.

So true. Justin Roberts writes about at length in his book about how mad they would be backstage about the non-choosen ones trying to get over.

Agreed, theres no way Bryan doesnt go into mania champion. They needed a quick title match at Fastlane to stall until WM and Kofis hot right now. It's that simple.
