Hmm a bit busy but I missed out on bestbuy's 4k steelbook, so I'll be picking this up. I heard the 4k transfer looks great

There is also a Collector's edition and a Deluxe edition similar to the recent First Blood release. Prices are the same as First Blood.

I ordered the smaller tat (collectors) edition along with the Steelbook just to lock in my order before it sells out. Not sure how large the box will be but I know the deluxe will be similar in size to Rambo. If the box isn't too large on the shelf, I'll probably stick with that and cancel the solo Steel.

It is nice artwork but I still prefer the first Zavvi steel release which I missed out on. We get a better encode/transfer with the Studio Canal release vs the Sony one so I'm excited about that although I do feel a US Steelbook DV release is inevitable at this point.

There's always a chance due to cancellations. Best to keep checking back here or on Zavvi.

Yup. Start checking around 3-4 days before street date. When they start getting card declines and last-minute cancellations, stock will open back up but you gotta jump on ‘em QUICKLY!

Wow. All 3 editions show sold out on both U.S. and U.K. sites. Is this typical? I've seen it for the tat editions, but usually the plain jane base-level steels last longer before selling out.

I already have multi pass so I pre-ordered the Collectors version. I have bought so many versions of this movie and already have a 4K steelbook. I like this artwork so much more than the one I already own so it was a no brainer for me.

Me too. Bright side is that I assume this means that I don't have to worry about them not shipping to the U.S. for this one. I actually don't mind waiting as long as I get it and it's not damaged.

I was so glad I got this email too. The Back to the Future II and III steelbooks arrived safely. Hoping the same for The Fifth Element Deluxe Edition.

This New Yorker needs his multi pass.

I'm pretty sure, Sony will put out another US steelbook edition with Dolby Vision on the disc, like with 'Mask of Zorro', 'Air Force One', 'Dracula'
