Also, Mission to Moscow is definitely in glorious stereo. The theme sounds fantastic! ![]() I know 4 and 5 are mono. Those are the only other ones I've watched so far. |

A CD score soundtrack of the first Police Academy film was released recently, but doesn't have the song played over the end credits on it (I'm Gonna Be Somebody by Jack Mack & the Heart Attack). Is the song intact on the Blu-ray disc for the first film (in the Police Academy: Complete Collection UK Blu-ray set)?

caps-a-holic have uploaded comparison screenshots of the Police Academy 3 Blu-ray which unfortunately has a very filtered encode, significantly smudging any detail. This is unfortunate considering the good encodes on 1 & 2.
I believe Police Academy 4 onwards are not filtered making me wonder if there was an error in the encoding process of number 3. http://www.caps-a-holic.com/hd_vergl...d_multiID=1426 |

Downloaded the Jack Mack and the Heart Attack song from itunes and today received the limited edition soundtrack CD.
Only took 10 days to arrive which is very good considering how much post is being processed at the moment. |

Checked nr 3. It's a complete mess. Excessively DNR'd almost to the Predator-level. Not much definition to speak of. Like watching the standard DVD but with improved resolution. In any case, there's barely any grain to see at all.
Also had a quick look at 4. There is some type pf grain, but I am uncertain if it's digital noise or grain. Things look very digital, and while definition is up a notch from 3, it's not much more than what can be expected from a DVD. Every now and then, both films had some really soft shots, which may be attributed to film stock as well as bad focus. Not necessarily the transfer. A disappointment if you are a fan of these films. Personally, I can live with it since they are not on my A-list. |

Had a peek at no 5. In my opinion less of a mess than 3 and 4. In fact, there is grain. Looks quite OK, but not spectacular. I guess film stock and budget may be factors preventing it from looking spectacular. Perfectly watchable.
Now, on to six and seven. |
