Same here. I'm a big fan of 80's slashers and have actually seen the film before and enjoy it, so it was a no-brainer to pre-order it from Diabolik.

I fully expected the Slip version would sell out within a week or two, and sure enough it did. This was a very anticipated release with slasher fans.

It's a slasher, not an Oscar nominated film....

Yeah a lot of people bought it for the slip, but no one is trying to "explore" anything with this. I'm pretty sure people know what to expect when it comes to these types of films. (Blood, kills, a maniac with an axe...etc).

I'm a huge slasher fan so I would have bought this regardless, but yes, I quickly pre-ordered from Diablik because of that cool looking slipcover. I never order from Diabolik because of their ridiculous prices and shipping. I usually order from Amazon if I really want it or I wait for a sale, but I had no choice this time. And hopefully, this does not become a trend for Arrow.

Mainstream horror fans don't collect stuff like this or search it out.

It played last month at the New Beverly Cinema in Hollywood as part of their all night Halloween horror marathon

I love this film. I'll admit that it may be more for nostalgia than art but it's a sleeper gem. The opening car wash sequence is particularly excellent. I'm beyond stoked about this release. Pre-ordered yesterday.

My order says "Edge Slip Only". Not sure why but maybe that's to differentiate from other version. Good news that it will be shipping soon.

Same here. Changed from "Preorder" yesterday. Knowing past history, we should receive a shipping notice in the next couple of days, if not today.
