Default Best use of surround speakers

Sorry if it's come up before, I tried searching, but it didn't like my "common" terms! What blu's do you guys and gals feel makes the best use of your surround sound? The most immersive quality?

For example, in ID4, when the dog barks when Jasmine finds the first lady, it makes me look over my shoulder every time!

More about whole films, not really just specific scenes like that, but it's the only example I could think of!

It's not a Blu-Ray, but one of my faves to listen to on my surround is DEAD SILENCE.

The hairs definately stand up with all of the creepiness. Great movie that needs to come on Blu ASAP!

Haven't seen Master and Commander on BD yet, but for me so far, Black Hawk Down makes the most intensive use of the surround speakers.

The Water Horse has the most surround action I have heard in a blu yet.

The sound mix on Doomsday is INTENSE if you crank it. It's really violent if you have kids though.

I am Legend is not only underrated, but IMO, the flat-out best soudnding BD out there. The first scene with Will in Times Square is unbelievable, that movie definitely has the best surround prescence of any I've heard. Also, The Incredible Hulk is in your face and you can tell when Abomination is swinging the chain and that sound travels through all five speakers individually that it was a well-mixed track.

Thank you!!!

I don't think there was any scene where the surrounds weren't present. Ambience throughout the entire film in every scene. You really felt like you were on that boat, you felt you were in the rainstorm and you definitely felt you were part of the battle.

I thought the Orphanage was very impressive in this regard. I turned around and looked more than once. Granted, not as active or pronounced as Transformers, but impressive nonetheless.

Default Master & Commander

I had the guy at Tweeter demonstrate a couple of movies when I was looking to get my Polk RM6750 5.1 System -- He used the above, & The Day After Tomorrow.

Both were very good, but M&C was what convinced me the Polk's were the ones to get as a very good budget type system, but Still had Power when needed (for being small speakers pretty much), and totally enveloped the Sound Stage with Clarity as well.

That's another one of my favorites. You could hear every footstep, window. eerie sound, storm, water crashing on waves that there is, add to the fact that it was 7.1 mix made it just that more immersive.

There are no silent parts of this mix and every effect is brought forth with such great clarity.

Even though the movie was just ok, I though Dare Devil had some amazing ambient effects going on. One of my top for audio.
