Universal Studios Home Entertainment have announced the US Blu-ray Disc release of Bridesmaids on 20th September 2011. In this comedy thirty-something Annie (Kristen Wiig) has hit a rough patch but finds her life turned completely upside down when she takes on the Maid of Honour role in her best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) wedding. In way over her head but determined to succeed, Annie leads a hilarious hodgepodge of bridesmaids (Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Ellie Kemper) on a wild ride down the road to the big event.

Available on Blu-ray Combo Pack, including the theatrical cut (2hrs 5mins) alongside a new unrated cut (2hrs 11mins). Features are outlined below…

$15? $25 is right - I mean, it includes over an hour of Deleted, Extended & Alternate Scenes - all of which are hilarious. And over 2 hours more of crap I like watching!

Wasn't expecting much other than seeing Wiig in another film and this turned out to be my favorite (not to be confused with the best) film of the year.

I love getting reviews, but this one actually hurts because it makes the 15 days left to wait seem like forever.

The only thing that surprised me was that there was no mention of whether then unrated version actually added more laughs or just made a film that was already about 15-20 minutes too long even more bloated.


Rarely watch new releases the day that they come out, because we save them for the weekend, but we actually downloaded this movies from a site and have watched it about 10 times since it was released, so this blu is going in night one and, while I find myself not even caring about the often weak special features so many titles come out with, we're going to get through all of those on release day too.

Kristen Wiig will NEVER go the route of Jennifer Aniston (Horrible Bosses maybe being the only exception) into mostly stupid and generic rom-coms.

I saw this in theaters, very funny film. Alot fun and enjoyable then I thought.

Will be surely picking this one up when it comes out.

Easily the best, funniest movie of 2011 so far.

I'm really happy it's coming with a DVD copy too. The only blu-ray player in my house is in my bedroom- it'll be nice to watch this downstairs with family or bring it to friends too (vast majority of my friends have not switched yet).
