Default Moving to an expanded colour gamut

I hope they will move to rec 2020 but I heard on Home Theater Geeks that we may only move to P3 to save disk space. I was wondering if any one had any info on when TV's may be able to do an expanded colour gamut? The organization that creates the standards would have to set a standard first.

Looks like LG, Samsung and Sony's 2015 QDOT TVs will do all if not most of P3's color space. OLED will also come close to the P3 color.
