The update does not say the poster division will continue, but that "Mondo's poster business will continue." it reads to me, most likely, it means that Mondo still has contractual agreements to make posters, but that is finished, it is finished. Funko gutted Mondo's 30 employees, including co-founders. That means they have means to cut back on Mondo. Even so, if many of the artists fall out, there's still no point. Funko destroyed the reputation with gutting the co-founders. Even if they get other artists, who is the say that will last - which means the records division will suffer too. I'm no way in to predict, but I have a feeling 6-12 months, Mondo will be completely dissolved.

Either that, or it means Funko will start producing posters that look like this godawful monstrosity.

Now we get down to the real nitty gritty: Are they keeping the original founders/creative team after all? Almost every artist that's helped make Mondo what it is has said they won't work with Funko without them...

Well you can't get better information than from Mondo and glad they cleared it up. All the sources are debunked after this release, unless Funko decided not to after the backlash - we'll have to see if the artists and such will still stay - or if their posters will go down in quality, we'll see. So I'm glad Mondo is staying Mondo and looks to be building more for their records too!

oh totally. Funko still f'd up. Stripped Mondo of its core and I'm sure the artists won't bother coming back with other competitors ready to take over. In the end, they still fired key Mondo people and we still don't know what any of this means outside of they're still continuing their poster. Plus, if you read, it means they're increasing the quantities, which means it'll really lower the power/incentive to buy them. If anything, they're going to do a "see, told you" and pull it in due time. Funko has made terrible decisions and only shooting themselves in the foot and driving the company to the ground.
