I'll be at the Apple store to get mine as soon as I can get there after work next Friday. Hopefully they have some left. I was REALLY hoping for a preorder.

Best Buy is going to have them available on release date as well. I'm going to purchase mine there for RZ points.

I also have a 1st gen 64gb 3G I'm looking to unload cheap if anyone's interested

Sold my old one already and will be getting this one ASAP... looks so sick and the fact that we'll finally be able to use our iPhones as hotspots with iOS 4.3 means I won't have to get the 3G model. Bonus!

I'm not sure yet. I was surprised that they didn't up the ram and storage. 16gb is extremely small. Once I see it in person I'll probably get it though. Another downfall is no retina display.

I haven't read the specs between the 1st and 2nd one. What's the main difference?

I remember when the 1st gen was sold last March and during our local news, someone stole a display iPad from our Apple store.

EDIT: My coworker just told me. Looks pretty neat

yes i know that, i started the thread about this. he stated the second one for $100 more?? they are the same price as 1st gen are
