Default Warner Distribution problem continue

Those of you thinking the "We Are Marshall" problems were over....think again. I was just informed that Warner continues to not only have problems releasing their BluRay product day and date with thier boxoffice movies but they are struggling to get their DVD's out on time.

"The Reaping" which streets on Transformer week was set to help BluRay somewhat but now it seems it might not even show up. I was just told by my distributor Warner has yet to even send BluRay Reaping out.

I could care less about The Reaping but it seems Warner is having BIG problems with their new distriubtion system. If things stay the same (which it seems it might), Ocean's 13 and Harry Potter on BluRay might have problems as well. Hopefully it's the same with the HD product.

Hopefully, it's "distribution" problems and not "replication" problems.

Yep, my DVDEmpire preorder for this week is being held up because The Reaping, Return to House on Haunted Hill and The Twilight Zone Movie (still) have not arrived.

Well I was told they completely overhauled their distribution center and it's effecting all titles from DVD to BluRay. It's just BluRay/HD is less important so if anything those formats will get the short end of the stick every time. I was told they were going to fix whatever was wrong back with the We Are Marshall debacle but now it seems once they fell behind, it was impossible to catch up.

They have a month to fix it for Oceans 13.....I bet they don't and you see problems with BluRay for that title as well.

All I know is the Blockbuster stores I purchase Highdef for will not have Warner titles for rent (on BluRay) the day it supposedly streets until this problem is fixed. It's all Warners fault, not Blockbusters.

Yep, my stores still don't even have the DVD version let alone the BluRay version.

Warner has definetly shot themsevles in the foot during the most important part of the year.

That's the ironic part of it all.....Warner lost my distributors order (how convient) and we still have stores without this title for rent.

Smallville is one of the biggest renters on TV. I was extremely disappointed how they have not been able to supply us with copies with it almost being a month since the release date.

Big named retailers btw get their product first......us little people they hate get the finger.

Wonder if some money changed hands under the table to delay so that TF would have a banner week.

Hey there are allot of dirty tactics coming out of their camp I wouldn't put it past them.

That's not to say their isn't problems with Fox either because there currently is (like I'm not getting 28 weeks Later till next week). It's just Warner looks to have a serious problem that isn't a matter of fixing....it's a matter of catching up which once the 4th qtr hits that is VERY hard to do.

Definitely not replication problems. They had a new system installed during the period from early August through early September. Didn't fill orders during that time but did take orders so a big backlog built up. Combine that with bugs in the new system that had to be worked out and there you had the origin of the problem. Mostly worked out now. Certainly for my orders.

By the way, the site was "equal opportunity" during this period; both Blu-ray and HD-DVD were affected (as presumably was DVD also).
