This just underwent a new DCP restoration so I'm not surprised to see Blu-rays start to filter out. May import this German one, but I suspect there will be a U.S. version before too long.

That 28-page booklet...think it's only in German or also has an English translation?

There will be English audio with this, I don't know why this has not been properly posted with the release on https://www.blu-ray.com. You can see it on the backcover.

Best,

Great news! pre-ordered.

Arguably the greatest non-Leone Spaghetti Western ever made.

A good candidate. But Corbucci has made some really epic movies. My favorite is The Great Silence. When I first saw it, I didnt know what was coming. Mind blown to say at least.

Yeah "The Great Silence" is also my favorite non-Leone Italo-Western.
Hope there will be more releases than the announced Japanese one...

So wait... this'll have the uncut English dub? Hardcore fans of the film probably have the, erm, "custom" Franco Cleef DVD, which has snippets of the English dub cut from the US version (Corbett meeting the monks, Cuchillo with his wife, etc) sourced from (I believe) a Greek VHS.

Either way, seeing this on blu-ray at all is amazing! Hell, we still don't even have a DVD version in America Since Sony has the rights to it in the US, maybe it'll take Twilight Time to release it

EDIT: Nevermind, I read that Grindhouse Releasing is apparently working with Sony on getting it released here in the US. I have to be careful saying "Grindhouse" around my girlfriend, as she'll start humming the "Funky Fanfare" tune

Grindhouse Releasing is a very small company, and with the tragic recent death of the main individual behind the company, Sage Stallone, it may be awhile for this in the US.

That is true, but I wasn't sure when Grindhouse first broke the news. Either way, I *may* still get this one. I mean, it has English and Italian, plus the full 110 minute cut (so used to seeing 106 minutes for PAL). If it is indeed region coded, at least I have a BD-ROM drive now, so at least a computer is an option
