Walmart $3.74 DVD bin (including a John Wayne collection)

Walmart has a $3.74 DVD bin now. Probably pointless to compile a list, as some of it might be YMMV. But here's what I remember off the top of my head.

- John Wayne: The Duke (16-movie collection from Mill Creek)
- Various horror, fantasy, and kids multi-packs (probably Mill Creek again)
- Parker (Jason Statham)

I picked up the Duke set. I'm not expecting great quality, but for the price, it's worth the gamble IMO. Here are some pics:

(The pics are not mine - I found them on Amazon - and the Mill Creek logo is different on mine, but everything else seems to be the same.)

How? I'm getting very few listings for $3.74 and mostly unhelpful crap like "$2.99 - $13.99" as the base price.

Captain America / Captain America II (1979) was waiting for me right on top of the bin today. Didn't have time to look through it more, unfortunately.

If you're looking for this specific title though, here's what it looks like. Also, it's in a clear case, so it should stand out in the cluttered bin and be easier to locate.

Tried Neighborhood Market today. In my experience, the $3.74 movies were in the $5 bin mixed in with those movies. Look for $3.74 in a microscopic font on the price sticker to tell the difference. Seemed like less of a selection at the Neighborhood Market, but most of the major movies from this deal were there.

I picked up:

- 6-Film Collection: Movies of Excellence (Blu-Ray.com)

- Highway to Hell Collection (Walmart.com)

If anyone wants a list of the movies in the latter, LMK.

I've never heard of any of the movies in either of these packs, but if 1 or 2 turn out to be good, it would have been worth it.

I had that shipped to my local store right before 4th of July. I watched both movies that weekend.

Stopped back at my Neighborhood Market tonight. They added a bunch of new stuff, the bin was now overflowing. Most of it dated JUN-15 or JUL-15. Here's everything I remember of the more notable titles:

I picked up the one sole copy of Youngblood that I found. There's no Blu-Ray version, which makes this the perfect pickup from one of these bins. I can't find any information anywhere though on whether this is anamorphic widescreen or not. That's the one thing I don't miss about DVDs. Blind buy for me, but I love the '80s, so I should be good to go (as long as it is indeed anamorphic).



There's no blue "Movie Time" border on mine though. Still a hideous looking cover, even without that.
