You’re missing out on great new bonus content and the remastered episodes themselves - which are a noticeable improvement over the old DVDs.

As far as I’m concerned, the BD sets could be packaged in dripping wet toilet paper and I wouldn’t complain.

Just look at Ghost Light. In isolation might not be all that impressive, but it's much improved over the old DVD. It might be the case that the episodes that have been more problematic to remaster are the ones that really shine without DVD constraints.

A good, simple choice would have been to using the series logo consistent with the time the episodes were aired.

I don't get why the BBC doesn't go about that anyway. The new steel books have the same problem. Older classic logo on series 1, 2 and 3 (but not the correct logo for those series) and 9 and 10 having their correct logo. And than you get series: 4, the specials and 5 (for now), 11 and 12 come with the new logo. Really terrible how the logo will flip flop between the different logos, that is unless we get yet another logo before they're done with series 6 and 7.

I truly hope that they'll somehow manage to finish The Collection range before they decide to run with a new logo. I'll still get the sets, even with a new logo, but I really hope they'll finish the range before then.

Im not sure what the cover art has anything to do with Series 11, but sure, go off!

It's just a logo... your loss at the end of the day

whilst i agree its silly not buying because of a logo, the packaging is awful - why do BBC Studios think grey is the ideal colour of classic who releases. after 18 years of having to put up with the awful grey roundel dvd covers we now have to have more grey boxes sat on the shelves

People have been b*tching about logos since the VHS days.

Get over it already and enjoy the actual content. Or make a custom cover that suits your needs.

Maybe because they've been quite popular and sold pretty well, in spite of what some people on internet forums declare to be unacceptable about them.

While I agree that it's just a logo, and they won't stop me from getting these sets, they're outright gorgeous. Why is the BBC being difficult with using the correct logo for said set anyway? Hell, what's with the BBC anyway with releasing the series in a fashion where they don't constantly mess up?

Though the second part is another subject altogether

Is it just the artwork, or also the content? Also, did Amazon ship yours before the delay? Mine got delayed by a month.
Wouldn't have minded another extra set of discs, but oh well

Season 12 box and booklet, Season 10 discs. Just tested the first disc and it appears the content is Season 12 but the discs are marked as Season 10. So The Three Doctors disc is actually Robot.

Amazon shipped it yesterday and it arrived today, but they also sent me a delay email before that. Amazon have told me they can only refund as they can't send out another so gonna try BBC for replacement discs.

Curious if Amazon will ship my copy then still, and I honestly just can not believe how the BBC has been messing these releases up constantly. The only release that came and went without issues was the Season 10 set... And even that seems to have been pulled into it.

LOL ,i actually prefered the region 1 american dvds ,i thought they looked smart with the black spines and full illustration on the front instead of the UK grey roundel design .The grey colour on the collection sets is one of the few things i'm not keen on

Before I forget, keep us updated on what's going to happen. If you get corrected replacement discs, what you plan on doing with these ones?

For some reason it reminds me of grey 3/4" videotape cases. Maybe it's an in house retro archive thing.

In related news, Amazon.uk shipped my copy Friday the 13th by UPS 2nd day overseas, for delivery next Monday. I also had gotten the mail it was gonna ship delayed on April 1st.

Will I get S10 discs S12 discs or S13 discs?

Why has Amazon decided to ship the faulty sets? Is it because they know they won’t have to deal with replacements? It seems very cynical if so; glad I cancelled mine and kept my Zoom order!

Mine still hasn't shipped, and going by the Gallifrey Base, most haven't still. I think they accidentally didn't ship all the incorrect ones back and someone jumped the gun on shipping this handful of copies out.
