  • Horizon Call of the Mountain code redeemed and downloaded.
  • GT7 updated on its own overnight.
  • RE VIII updated on its own overnight.
  • Moss Books I & II downloaded.
  • Made the $4.99 Thumper upgrade and downloaded.
  • Now waiting on the controllers to charge before I plug anything into the PS5.

It's good that they won't leave it on your door step but instead require a signature. People are stealing packages at a high rate. I'm at home with the shades up so I can see when the UPS truck pull up (he, he).

Edit: Door bell just rang and 2 boxes waiting. I thought they were supposed to get signatures before handing over the goods!

I'm enjoying it very much, I got the Moss bundle set, playing through Moss 1 that is great, playing through call of the mountain a very good game, but felt a bit sick after a while, also played Synth Riders I got a free upgrade as I bought the ps4 version, a good rhythm game, I also have star wars, the light brigade installed so far I really am liking this VR headset

Moss 1 and 2 on this system PSVR2 are really nice to see at launch. Just waiting for Astrobot Missions to be ported over hopefully. That game is a 10/10 must play game in VR. I played it last night, and it's still fun as ever and my favorite VR game of all. The replay value is awesome too.

Watching a review, she said the PSVR2 and PSVR1 are about the same size, with PSVR2 being slightly heavier understandably.

I am surprised the Horizon PSVR2 Bundle only includes a code for the game, not doesn't include the actual game disc.
Even so, I've learned that for PSVR1, it was actually much easier to have the games stored digitally, so when you want to play a different game, there's no need to remove the headset or switch to visual mode to see (on a PSVR2), as it was already in the game library ready to play without a disc. That being the main advantage for PSVR games being digital. Plus most VR games being smaller files compared to AAA full games like Horizon 2.

Good to hear motion sickness no longer affects you in VR. That's hopeful. I know with persistent practice each day (while being sure not to try to push through sickness, but rest), eventually I was able to reduce the tunnel vision filter for Skyrim VR on PSVR1, to full screen, so I believe it.

For those of you with the charging station, curious how you like it and if it feels worth it. I didn’t get it but may want to grab one.

I wish they included a charging cable for each controller (or one cable with a splitter) so we could charge both controllers at the same time.

Since you mentioned techniques to help manage motion-related side effects of using VR, it makes me wonder what games or experiences have been the most challenging for the experienced players? For me it was Wipeout, which was the first game I played when I got my PSVR. I’m sure it is because it was my initial entry into VR and I was looking all around in amazement to finally have such an immersive experience, it’s still hard for me to go back to it. Curious if others here had that sort “nope!” moment with VR where the headset just needs to come off.
I have been exceptionally lucky to play so many games without feeling that way, in six years I only had one incident where I felt a little odd, that was Rez:Infinite when the game character was floating one way and the camera glided the other. A split second and I was ok after.

Everyone with a PSVR2, be sure to post your thoughts so far.

I saw a brief review of a PSVR2 controller charge station where they set the controllers onto it, and if they're not in the exact position needed, they won't charge, so they felt it was hit or miss for the higher price paid. They said that when fully charged, there won't be any light to indicate it. Only a light when they are charging I think.

Others might be having better luck with the station for charging the two controllers.

On that note, for games like RE8 or RE4, I'm guessing there is no way to play with a regular PS5 controller for those VR adapted games.

Hopefully the charge for these PSVR2 controllers lasts a good many 10 hours if the feedback rumble and haptics are shut off.

That's good to hear.
Any game where I leap in the air with the camera and then the camera suddenly stops after falling, is what makes me feel dizzy fast.

Have you played all of the user-created free games in Dreams VR on PSVR1?
When was the last time you played a PSVR1 game?
I played Astrobot Missions VR for a good hour this week. I have to complete Moss 2. I like it, but the puzzles are much less intuitive compared to the first game.
Thankfully the PSVR1 is reliable and still going since December 2017. Nothing broken down for the parts. The only issue during all that time was the USB connection issue would sometimes pop up randomly but that seems to have been updated and fixed. I haven't had that issue in years.

I played a large selection of the Dream VR games, around 20% were worth playing. It needed a bigger user base I feel.

I haven’t played VR for a while having previously hammered it for six years.

Last game I played was Arca’s Path, a pretty cool marble madness style puzzler controlled by tilts of the head.

I am ready to go back in soon, maybe even straight into PSVR2, however, I might have to wait a few months as I have just been made redundant.

Really love Gran Turismo 7 so far. I thought for sure it would make me feel sick but it really didn’t over an extended period. Can’t wait to play that some more. The interior details are impressive and it’s so bizarre to just look up at a rear view mirror to se what’s going on behind you. The Resident Evil: Village demo is very effective but I think it’s just too scary in VR haha. And I think that did start to give me motion sickness. Looking forward to trying Horizon and No Man’s Sky tonight.

You can't "split" USB-C cables due to their primary function of transmitting data. You need a hub or multiple connectors.

Horizon was pretty good so far. Played for about 45 minutes. Mostly climbing with a little fighting. I played standing up, and switched movement to the joysticks.
Gran Turismo was cool, especially when I did a night race and the car behind me shined their headlights in my mirror. Only got to play for about 10 minutes.
Kayak looked cool, only spent a couple minutes.
No motion sickness at all.
Going to try some other games tonight.

Yeah the lighting effects really impressed me in GT7. The way light would reflect off the dashboard dials or even the overhead light cover when the light hits it just right is neat.

Resident Evil Village is VERY impressive. Probably the best gaming experience on the headset. Also love the feel of the bow in Horizon. Everything is worth it for the real controllers alone. Plus LOVE the haptic feedback on the shotgun blasts in Village.

You are probably right about not being able to split the data function, but the included cable will be used for charging way more than for data, so the primary function here is charging. Anyway, Sony should have included a cable for both Sense Controllers.

The Void was the best VR experience I've ever had. If this can come close to replicating that, I will for sure pick one up
