Bionic Commando Rearmed will feature Remote Play
This is the sort of value added feature that can help set the PS3 version of a multiplatform game apart as the more attractive buy. Hopefully Sony will promote it well and make it even easier for developers to support in their games. |

I still don't know why I should care about remote play. Got any links that would get me excited for it?
My PSP has been siting here for eons. Got it when it came out and haven't used it much. Think it's time to mess around with it more. That said, I AM excited for Bionic Commando. It's an icon. |

I think you can even acce4ss the browser and PS Store. So if you are at work, you can log into your system on new download day, queue up your downloads, and they will be ready waiting for you when you get home. Most gaming, Blu-ray movies, and such are not supported yet though. |

You can also play all PS1 game discs (load them into the drive on the PS3, then launch Remote Play), though if you're not at home the lag is a killer for anything except for RPGs.

Okay cool. Late last night I learned about remote play and set up my stuff.
Took ages, because I had to download the PSP update AND wait to charge it up. Even though it was plugged it, the PSP won't update if the battery is low. Pretty cool. Anyone use Skype or the Internet radio on it yet? |

Its funny, but with games like Star Wars : Force Unleashed and all the others coming out this fall. Bionic Commando is the one I am eagerly waiting a release date on. I remember it was actually the first game I finished on the original NES and can't wait too see it in HD !

I think its sad that some devs and in this case Capcom have basically publically stated that there will be pretty much no support for a game that hasnt even been released yet. Seems pretty bad business to me. Just looking at the comments on the page where this news was announced people have already stated they were thinking about buying but wont now because of lack of support. Like it not the trophies are here and ARE a big deal to a LOT of people. Myself included. I dont want to waste my money on a game that wont get any support in the future and that includes trophy patches. Its not like these PSN games are graphical or gameplay wonders to warrant buying anyways (for the most part). They are simply internet "mini" games on steroids and sold to us...which is fine by me but Ill be selective with my purchases due to that. I was thinking of getting 1942 because I like the style game but I really dont feel like supporting a company that doesnt seem to care about what a community wants. All you have to do to see the RIGHT way to go about this is look at dev teams like Criterion, Naughty Dog and the PixelJunk team. THATS the right way to go about things. Examples of the wrong way are obvious from Capcom, IW, and for the time being Insomniac (although I DO think they will patch both R1 and R&C once R2 is released). Do you know how long it takes to put trophies into a game? Especially if the game wasn't designed to have trophies on PS3 from the start?
Assume it's easy and takes no time all you like but don't expect every new game released to support trophies for a few months yet. And you know a majority of developers don't support their game after release and what's wrong with that? You finish your game and put all your effort into the next one, gaming wasn't so bad when everyone did that, was it? It might well have been better because everyone knew where they stood, what to expect. |
