For anyone who orders from Tokyo Otaku Mode, they have a game on the site where you can win up to a $50 coupon (I got $5) plus they have free shipping over $80 (not to hard to get to for figures)and they have the Aniplex exclusives which Right Stuf stopped offering free shipping for.

Rightstuf never had free shipping on those figures, the shipping was built into the price of the figure. They broke down the costs in the description.

Well I meant doesn't offer free shipping for, to quote the description Excluded From Free Shipping, it's $28 when you put the Kaori statue in your cart for example. So $129 total whereas I got it for $96 over at TOM (with the $5 coupon)

Figured I'd give Mandrake a try for some figures and must say I'm impressed for "used" prices these look just as good as anything new I've bought, and SAL shipping helped make these way cheaper than any price I could find elsewhere

Stuff I got since my last post. Some NSFW stuff in here.
[Show spoiler]

The new wall scroll is the Senran Kagura one, not the Strike the Blood one, have had that for a few months now.

If anyone wants to know where they can find that Oregairu illustration, here you go. It came from the May 2015 issue of Animedia.

Also ugh with that Isuzu Sento figure. What happened with the shipping here? Luckily no damage to the figure nor the figure box occurred.
[Show spoiler]

Oh and with that mousepad, here's a comparison I made because why not with this one from Great Eastern that I own. The Japanese one is of higher-quality of course, but the Great Eastern one isn't bad.

Magazines
[Show spoiler]

Also ugh, seems NyanType is now going bi-monthly. It used to have omake every once in a while (sometimes being a double-sided B2 poster) and 8 double-sided posters (for a total of 16). Those days are long gone. At the beginning of the year, the pinups went down by a small number, then starting with the February 2016 issue, for two issues they had way less posters, and they were for only one single show. After plenty of negative feedback (that's only a small portion of course, but it's all I can easily find), that stopped and they then went to having 4 double-sided posters (for a total of 8) for different series. The Nanoha manga also has now recently ended in the magazine, so there's even less pages. Funny thing is Kadokawa is charging more for this now. Without tax, it was 852 yen, now it's 880 yen which they haven't charged in quite a while. Rival bishoujo magazine, Megami Magazine meanwhile still has 8 double-sided posters + one double-sided B2, for a total of 18 every issue, and they're charging 852/917 yen (depends on the issue).

Timeline of NyanType for this year. NSFW links of course.

More stuff.

Took ages for the last two to come, if only I placed that Amazon Japan order sooner. Got those last two magazines at J-List and picked Registered SAL, so it took weeks to arrive as I was too cheap to spend $20 on EMS. That issue of Megami Magazine RX sold out instantly after release everywhere in Japan. The official Megami Magazine Twitter even had to make a statement about it. The power of Yukina's butt and purple shimapan compelled otaku from all across Japan to buy the latest Megami Magazine RX in droves, and now it goes for more than 4 times the original price. There's a B2 poster of the cover in the magazine. I swear, otaku cannot get enough of Yukina, and I can't really blame them.

Comparing my Yukina Himeragi and Maki Nishikino figures.
[Show spoiler]You can actually light that lantern up, but I've heard from MFC it lasts about only 4 or 5 hours at best.

Figures I got since my last post.

Why must the bases be so huge? Going to struggle to have enough room for all of them (didn't get Laura, Charlotte, or Cecilia sadly, will have to get them later in the aftermarket) and I was preparing since I first saw them. Hopefully Utaha doesn't have the same problem.
[Show spoiler](For anyone wondering what's with the bubblewrap, Yoko didn't come with a base and I'm paranoid. Rather use bubblewrap than nothing. Maybe I'll make my own base for her someday.)

Also, I paid a whopping 9,680 yen (close to $96 when I paid for the order) for mandatory EMS shipping just to ship Houki and Tatenashi, that's the most I've ever had to pay in shipping for anything. One of the closest comparisons (I'd have to dig more into my AmiAmi order history, though those would be before Japan Post raised shipping costs) I have is it cost me 5,760 yen to ship this Yoko figure via EMS, and then 6,180 yen to ship Yukina and Koneko together, also via EMS. My preference for large figures are going to be the end of me. Below are pics of the large shipping box.
[Show spoiler]

(Anyone wondering what the cat's name is, her name is Patches. She can drive me up the wall sometimes.)

Yeah, I've also been having some Amiami Shipments of Justice. So far I've received two of those gigantic boxes.

Was the second season of Infinite Stratos well done? I really liked the first season, but I always try to watch my anime in blu ray quality, so the second series on dvd was a no go. I was so, so close to ordering that Houki, but my pending Nov Amiami order looks like this:

Figures since my last post.

Kuroneko's base is hideously large. Largest base any of my figures have. Comparison with Rin's (which is also ridiculously big) and this figure.
[Show spoiler]

Took forever to get my hands on that Kuroneko though. I pre-ordered her in May of 2015, and she was supposed to come out in November, and then there were multiple delays until she finally came out last month. Not even Good Smile Company's Mikasa was that bad.

Other pics of the Jumbo Miku. She is just huge.
[Show spoiler]

BTW late reply, but as for the second season of IS: Infinite Stratos, it's a definite step down from the first season. The fanservice increased, and the quality went down a bit as a result. I still liked it though. Also the show had multiple production problems, the TV version of the show was a disaster animation-wise. So many things they had to fix for the Blu-rays. The extended version of episode 1 ended up being a clip show towards the end due to 8-bit falling behind. Also don't expect a S3 anytime soon. The anime caught up to the light novels, and they take forever to come out these days. Yumizuru hasn't put out a new volume since July 2015.
