I expected that from the start; LG tend to favor IPS.

Between LG and Samsung, I have higher hopes for Samsung's mini-LED models because A) they are more likely to use VA panels and B) unlike LG, who prioritize OLED and have already confirmed their QNEDs will be positioned below their OLEDs as lower-end offerings, Samsung are actually competing against OLED and it's in their best interest to make their Neo QLEDs the best TVs they can possibly be.

But they can certainly still mess up in various ways. Like I said before, we'll see.

Goes without saying that would be appreciated as well! I didn't mention them only because we already know they won't release any mini-LED LCDs this year. Panasonic still haven't unveiled their 2021 lineup beyond the JZ2000, so maybe, just maybe, there's a chance...
