I'm 44 with no kids, so I have a lot of expendable income. Last count I was at 70+ 1/6 figures.

Budgeting. My wife and I agreed that I can get 1 per year on our budget.

I order from Sideshow direct and use their staggered payment option. But typically only order a couple per year max.

In total I only have 10 sixth scale with 2, eventually, on the way. Only other figure I might get is a new Black Widow from her own film. But that might it as I lack the space for more.

70+? Wow.

I have mine in two Detolf Ikea display units - though only the top shelves are used for Hot Toys, other stuff is on the others. You can comfortably fit 4 to 5 normal figures on one shelf.

Sixth scale figures aren't usually that heavy, unless you have a Die Cast Iron Man; I wouldn't trust that on a glass shelf!

First Detolf was a pain to put together, 2nd one not so bad.

Most collectors would cringe if they saw my displays. I plan on converting a spare bedroom into a collector room, but for now, they're a little crammed in. I only have 1 Detolf and it is packed with 27 figures.

[Show spoiler]

They look like really wide crowded elevators.
