True, I suppose "by August" is a more positive outlook.

When is MS’s July event?

If it’s mid-late July, I expect them to reveal pricing.

If they show their lower end model, & price it around $249.99 US, that’ll put pressure back on Sony regardless if their Series X is $499.99.

PS5 will be £449 / $449. Exchange rates will not make a difference, IMO.

450 for disc version 399 for digital version. I'd be very happy with that given i may want to buy some peripherals too. I bet those new controllers aren't going to be cheap...

Welcome to rip off Britain. Happy to pay £450 for the console, but Sony better not screw us over on the exchange rate price. Add on at least a couple of games we are heading north of the £500 mark...

Hopefully bundles are made available; i can see Day 1 being GT7, AC: Valhalla being the basics, and a copy of the Game Of The Year edition of Horizon Zero Dawn.

That's cutting it close for me.
£500 with a game is my limit.

I say that now, but if it's more I know I'll cave and buy the damn thing

Oh I'm all about that digital edition! I've been all digital ever since the start of this generation and I will continue to be next generation. Plus I already have a stand alone 4K player so I won't need a console for that.

Ah you see, apart from this lock down period, I'm all physical. I like to have the option of lending mates games, or selling them on to fund the next game.

I do see some benefits to digital, but it's not going to be my first option.

There was another pricing leak & rumour floating around recently which listed the 2 models & Accessories & release dates.

What caught my eye is they put the vertical stand in the list for $24.99.

If thatís true, then I guess the horizontal stand isnít the same.

Ahhh this is a PSErebus post. I followed him on Twitter a while ago as supposedly was the newest up and coming "insider" I had to stop after everything they posted failed to come true so I take these prices with dump truck full of salt, I suppose even a broken clock is correct twice a day, throw enough shit at the wall eventually some of it will stick, etc. Etc.

The biggest stand out for me is the 30 quid for Spider man. Even as a smaller game I cant see anything costing less than 35 quid at the least. Hope hes right though

i think the RRP is £49.99 or something very similar for a "Standard" release and that may remain the case for next gen. For Miles Morales i'm expecting maybe £34.99 pricing. My personal limit may be £40 or close to possible like current gen for a new game. Tbh, i think unless the bundles do that pricing for me, i'd rather avoid buying much new till price drops.

This may be one gen that actually is kinda weird in that literally from the word go, you could probably play PS4 titles patched up or enhanced for Pro as well as free to play titles like Fortnite, Warzone, Destiny 2 etc. for hundreds of hours worth of entertainment and literally not spend anything further than on the console.

Hopefully my release day haul will be something like this:

PS5 and controller
Horizontal stand, if not included
Cyberpunk
TLOU2
F12020

and hopefully a FPS along the lines of BF.
I'll pick up the PS4 titles cheaper along the way if possible. But I won't play them

$39.99 for a Lost Legacy type deal Spider-Man doesnít seem off to me if it was current gen.

That would be $55.49 Canadian based on current PSN pricing models with that figure.

Being next-gen, I expect the game will be typical $59.99US & $79.99CDN.

I'm not 100% sure on the games for PS5 specifically that i'll buy on launch but i definitely would like to get a stand and also a 2nd DualSense controller just in case as well as for 2 player and hopefully part of a bundle with even Miles Morales or another game for like £500. Assuming the console is £450 for disk version.

The rest will hopefully be bought online if i see an amazing price or a PS4 version that's getting a free upgrade and patch for PS5. So Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and i'm not 100% sure on Valhalla yet in that i want to get it but just don't know of the upgrade programme they have planned for PS5.

They really should include both stands! Paying extra for something you need is pretty cheeky.
