Resolution mode helps a bit but frame rate drops & stutters.
Image Quality lowers the Resolution but increases all detail & doesn’t stutter.
Frame rate mode is meh.. 0 detail

When they added that v2 patch they basically downgraded the game in a few spots introducing more issues on PS5, including some frame stutter meaning drops frames more often, and also, "filtering and texture quality is different and tessellation reduced". Even some gamma / shadow lighting issues (youtube source: nxgamer).


Edit: The v3 patch has just released today though, which supposedly fixes things. Not sure though.

I just hope there isn't an on-going trend of trying to get a baseline XBOX/PS5 version that run the same settings exactly. If a PS5 can manage better filtering or tessellation because of the faster i/o video streaming on a game like this then it shouldn't be downgraded as was done in v2 to get it looking the same as the Series X.

Hasn't fixed the stuttering and the frequent crashes have returned. Just one letdown after another with this and honestly the PS5 version is just as deserving of being pulled from the PS Store as Cyberpunk was.

I tried the graphics mode and the framerate drops are a joke....especially going round tight bends.

Think i'll revert back to performance

So Resolution Mode is now the best. lol

They released another patch today. Thought maybe it was a quick fix to the crashing that the new patch brought back or further work on the stuttering. Nope it fixes an incorrect store link. Shows where their priorities are. Fix making sure they can make $$$ of DLC but take months to release patches for other stuff and then not even fix it as claimed. And this is before EA are calling the shots

If only the VRR was sorted by Sony by now. Maybe they'll announce that tomorrow.. would help make any stutter a moot point for those with the TV hardware.
