Default Question about Ultraviolet, Digital Copy, iTunes etc

I don't really understand different digital copy codes like full code or UV or iTunes only etc, for example in this post.

Is UV not a digital copy? I thought you just redeem on whatever service you prefer, whether it's iTunes or Amazon or UV etc. Also, is this answer impacted by Movies Anywhere?

Thanks in advance!

UV is a digital code, but most of the time they only redeem via VUDU or maybe other digital services? I don't know if it still is, I only redeem through iTunes and VUDU depending on the code, but you could redeem your code and link your movies to another digital streaming service. Flixster is what I initially used, but now I just redeem directly to the two I mentioned above. Movies Anywhere in theory will bridge between Google Play, Amazon, iTunes and VUDU. Right now most of my titles have loaded up on it and Amazon. Now I'm just waiting for iTunes and VUDU to port my libraries to one another. With this being a new service, it is hard to tell?
Do you really have something to say or are you just in love with the sound of your keyboard?

I only redeem via vudu. If you do this it will port to both MA and UV if applicable. Plus, vudu is Walmart whom seems to be doing fine as a business, so you probably don’t have to worry as much about a shutdown of the service.

MA is amazing. Most of my collection I can view between my iPad and my many other devices.

I usually redeem at MA first then to VUDU if the code is not applicable.
This redeeming is so addicting. I just started in late November and so glad that all my expired codes still work. I'm trying to limit myself to digital copies if possible as discs take too much space. But I still can't avoid buying a physical disc especially if I love the movie.

A lot of codes you can redeem across the different retailers. Like if you go to VUDU and redeem a movie you can then go to iTunes and redeem the same code. Some people only want to redeem their code on one retailer or the other so then they list it here in the trading forum for sale but say it's for iTunes only or VUDU only since they already redeemed it on the other platform.
Now that Movies Anywhere has thrown their hat into the ring and if you have all your accounts linked I'm not sure if you can redeem VUDU and iTunes separately anymore and still have the option to redeem it on the other platform since if linked they all port over anyways. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
