I wish gamefreak had the ability to design prettier looking worlds. The graphics aren’t the issue, it’s the artists they have creating the environment. We know the Switch is capable of making fantastic looking worlds the only difference is the artists creating them.

I feel like gamefreak could have the power of a PS5 and still wouldn’t be able to put out an environment that looked stunning. The graphics are great it’s the art direction for the environment that I feel is lacking.

As for game length it seems like most people who completed it are doing around the 30 hour mark. But I think it’s one of those things where you get out as much time as you put in. I’ll probably spend over 50 hours on it it always takes me longer to “complete” Pokémon games than the times other people mention. I’ve put in over 150hours on SwSh for example.

Amazon shipped my copy last night so I’m hoping it gets here for release day. It originally said it wouldn’t arrive until the 2nd. But then it updated to the 29th. Not in too much of a hurry because I’m in the middle of Mass Effect 3 and really want to finish that before starting this.

There’s a stability patch out now too. I guess that’s the day one patch. Doesn’t add anything from what people can see.

Similar situation for me, almost 40 hours into Mega Ten 5, won't beat it before I get Arceus but at least I made some substantial progress.

Should have gone with store pickup. Best Buy isn’t shipping my copy until tomorrow, even though that’s the release date. Guess I won’t have it until Monday or Tuesday. Ironically my 4K copy of Ghostbusters Afterlife shipped today and will be here Monday.

So it has 20-30 hours of main story game play. I'm fine with that as long as it's fun. I'm also fine with familiar Pokemon as long as I like them lol.

UK retailer Curry’s posted that this is the most pre ordered game the retailer has ever had. As well as topping Amazon lists in pretty much every country. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the opening weekend sales are.

Heck yeah it is. I was also always envious of that Luigi's Mansion steel the UK got and wish I would have pulled the trigger and imported when prices were normal.

5 and a half hours in, seems to be going all right. Definitely need to start using Pichu more so it'll evolve into Pikachu and then find a Thunder Stone. Also need to find the item to evolve Scyther into its new form lol.

Where did you find Pichu? I need a Thunder Stone too, I want Jolteon. I've already got Espeon and Umbreon.

Players won’t have to wait long to get their hands on their very own Pichu in the Hisui region, though. It can be found in one of the first areas of the game. When venturing out of Jubilife Village into Aspiration Hill, players should hug the rightmost path as far down as they can, passing the area in which they can find an Alpha Luxio. Following that path directly south will lead them past a field of Shinx and Wurmple where, laying by the river bank, they can find a Pichu.

It has an incredibly low appearance rate and is quick to flee, however, meaning it may take some tries before it can be successfully added to your team or even to complete its page in the Pokédex. Pichu is also one of the many Pokémon whose appearance rate is affected by the time of day. Players will only be able to find the Tiny Mouse Pokémon during the day in this location.

I’m about 13 hours in and just unlocked the second area. Spent a ton of time running around seeing the first one and completing a bunch of the dex. By the time I fought Kleavor my starter was fully evolved

I’m loving it so far with all the changes to the gameplay I and others have wanted for years.

My team is currently Typlosion, Crobat, Alpha Heracross and Kadabra. Will be adding Empoleon whenever I find a Piplup. I’ve got coverage for almost everything between those so no specific sixth member planned. Of course since I’m still so early in the story I may swap some of them out.

I ended up finding a Pikachu literally as soon as I posted that. Always happens.
