Anyone else gotten much more discriminating on (potentially crap) titles since it's become Dollar Twenty-Five Tree?

It's definitely a factor now since some items may actually be more expensive than similar products in the chain stores. But the movies have generally been a pretty solid bargain and arguably still are if you're being a bit selective. For example, I thought finding a Shout/GKids title on dvd was a great bargain for $1.25 and might've been something I'd have paid even $10+ for a blu. Probably the main reason for being more selective at the moment is because I already have too many physical media items and have been trying to downsize.

Update: Four cases, all identical, all DVD, all from the MGM/itn/etc. waves.
Edit: More copies of Brick Mansions, Purple Rose of Cairo, Free Birds, Oculus, etc. We did finally get Superfast and Crocodile Hunter though, so at least it's not a total loss. Last edited by mcrmy119; 01-28-2022 at 01:50 PM. |

I still consider 1.25 a good deal for a DVD I'm going to watch to see if I want to upgrade to blu. The other ways of doing this are more expensive.

First store by my workplace was a bit of a bust. Just the reported MGMs, pretty much.
Had a bit more luck in the second store. Managed to snag the Big Combo which was my big want from the recent wave. Also saw Blood of the Dragon (Jimmy Wang-Yu) and the Classic Albums DVD of Peter Gabriel's So album. |

This wave has been good to me. Picked up pretty much all of the horror titles. I snagged two titles that are sitting in my Amazon cart right now: One Cut of the Dead and Yummy. Granted they're on DVD but for for a buck... damn.

Anyone seen the White Fang series and have an opinion on it? Classic story and also enjoyed the Disney movie as a kid. But I'm not so sure about the series given it's over 20 episodes (10 hr+ commitment) and I'd never heard of it.

Found The Zen of Bennett yesterday.
Big TB fan here, the copy I found was a region free Australian import. A shame Tony has Alzhiemers now, and had to retire. Also found a jewish TV show 10 episode Echo Bridge BD/dvd combo called The Friends of Chabad, I bought it because it has Jon Voight. Should be an interesting view, as I am not jewishjewish myself, but I do have jewish friends. Last find was Terminal, starring Margot Robbie, Simon Pegg, Mike Myers, Dexter Fletcher, and Max Irons Jeremy's son). Still can't find the MGM dvds of Men at Work Shadows and Fog and the two Breakin' films. those four are obviously regional. Happy hunting every everyone!
