I have to get up early for a work shift tomorrow...just so I can stand around twiddling my thumbs because no one will be crazy enough to go shopping in the middle of a blizzard.

That doesn't stop people at my store. back in January 2018 it was like -5 degrees outside and people were still rushing into to buy stuff they didn't need. Cause they were there the day before. Nothing stops people from shopping. Could be 5 feet of snow and they expect the store to be open.

I'm sure the die-hards will be there (like the jerk who stands there reading all of the daily papers one by one without ever buying a copy ), but when there's like 15-20 inches of snow predicted, most sane people stay home and gobble up the $300 worth of groceries they bought the day before inside of 24 hours so they can come crowding in and buy another $200 worth the day after.

As a bachelor, I can spend $20 on food and feed myself for the better part of a week.

I kind it lost it with an Amazon customer service person on the phone last night, he was SO unhelpful in helping me figuring out my Prime Video account ... I almost came very close to calling him an incompetent clueless, yeah, I won't say the next word.

or ... make your own spaghetti sauce - super easy and cheap and just have spaghetti for the entire week

speaking of anger ... and food, I was stood up by two different friends last weekend, by Sunday, I was like f*** it and went on full on 'hangry' mode - went down to Georgetown had some Thai, well sushi, and two Long Island Ice Teas - oh I felt better, AND slooshed.

Sometimes I'll get a pack of those mini-"Nibbler" potatoes, bake them in the oven at 450 for 20 minutes, then dump a pat of melted butter over them. SO good...

for a larger single potato:

"How long does it take a potato in the microwave?"
Scrub the potato, and prick several time with the tines of a fork. Place on a plate. Cook on full power in the microwave for 5 minutes.

I don't know how people buy so much crap at the supermarket. If I'm not careful, I can easily spend $30-50 just buying basketful of stuff. I don't know how people can fill up their big carts with a lot of junk. Must cost them a fortune. And then people wonder why they have money problems...

I guess I won't be going to the supermarket tomorrow. Let's hope there's some milk and food left on Sunday when I go...
