We're nearing the end of another year and the beginning of a new.

What are you hoping to see on Blu-ray for 2023?

Scaramouche (1952)
Land Of The Pharaohs (1956)
Barabbas (1961)
She (1965)
Paint Your Wagon (1969)
Catch-22 (1970)
The Ruling Class (1972)
Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid (1973)
Warlords Of Atlantis (1978)
The Dresser (1983).

Big Top Pee Wee 1988.....35th anniversary would be nice
Moving 1988 Richard Pryor.....35th anniversary such a underrated film.
Private Benjamin 1980 what more can I say more Goldie on blu or 4K!
Little Giants 1994....love this film....maybe next year for its 30th but in 2023 would be nice.
Midnight Madness 1980 a film that is owned by Disney hope for a release at some point.
Alice In Wonderland 1985....this is a TV film that had several celebrities from that time in it.....sammy davis Jr, red buttons, carol channing, imogene coca. A release would be great for this film
Ewok Adventure, battle for endor, TV films that I grew up with especially ewok adventure at least for me but these are great films
Three Men And A Baby, Little Lady....both great films especially the first one and was such a hit at the time and they deserve a release!

Maybe Indicator/Powerhouse might release BARRABAS in the UK?

Hope you have an enjoyable New Year's weekend Nailwraps, and that next year is a good, positive one (and we see what we hope to see on DVD and/or Blu-ray.

Right, now to the titles wishlist (which I'm sure I'll end up adding to at a later date):

Blu-ray titles wishlist:

- Alfred Hitchcock Presents and the subsequent The Alfred Hitchcock Hour

Have been watching some episodes of AHP on Sky Arts on and off for a few months now (they're currently repeating the fourth season, but all of the fourth season (as well as the previous three) is available on Sky's On Demand service). They could do with a restoration job and new masters. On the whole, the episodes I've watched have been very good, well written and with some nice twists in the stories. Not forgetting the mostly witty and entertaining bookends to each episode by Alfred Hitchcock.

- The Blue Knight (the short-lived George Kennedy-starring cop/detective drama series)

If the film elements can be located, would love if the WAC followed up their Blu-ray release of the TV mini-series The Blue Knight (which starred William Holden) with a Blu-ray release of the subsequent TV series which starred George Kennedy (it lasted for two short seasons).

- Gemini Affair, the cast including Marta Kristen

- Mike's Murder

Both versions, the story presented from beginning to end, and vice-versa.

- Red Shoe Diaries (the cable TV film pilot and subsequent cable TV series)

Ideally, I think Vinegar Syndrome would do a really good Blu-ray release of the nineties erotic anthology series. I realise it wouldn't be a big seller and would probably be a very niche title. It's a pity Kino Lorber didn't release the remaining seasons on DVD (they only released the first season, as well as re-releasing the cable TV film pilot).

- the four Relentless films, all starring Leo Rossi

- Remember My Name, the cast including Anthony Perkins

- Silent Night, Bloody Night, the cast including James Patterson (*)

- Truth or Dare?: A Critical Madness

- The Whistler film series

(*) and a few other slasher horror films:

Blood Link (the cast including Michael Moriarty)
Blood Song
Coda (aka Symphony of Evil)
Hunter's Blood
and Innocent Prey (the cast including P.J. Soles).

*****

There are a fair few Canadian films and TV series I would like to see physical media releases of, but am unsure as to whether the TV series which were made by and shown in Canada on CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) are unavailable, and whether the rightsholders are unwilling to license them out to labels/boutique labels. Hoping to see (it wouldn't bother me if only DVD releases were possible (because of the condition of elements etc.):

- Double Negative (1980), the cast including Anthony Perkins
- Funeral Home (early eighties slasher)

and Wojeck (two season drama TV series from the sixties, followed by an early-nineties TV film), starring John Vernon in the lead role.

The UK DVD release of Eerie Indiana by Eureka, or the German DVD release, I was going to eventually get at some point.

Have got the UK Blu-ray steelbook release of IT, but (and I know, it's a trivial nitpick) when I tested it out, I wanted to see what the end credits ended with. I was expecting to see the Lorimar Television logo at the end (which I think was on the UK VHS release), but no, it was a modern Warner Bros. Television logo (I was throwing my toys out of the pram ). I'm one of the sticklers for original opening and closing logos on films and older TV series (especially the latter).
