I have a call from Apple scheduled for later today. It is just iTunes support but I am going to try get through to them that Apple management new to to be informed of the various distributor issues.

I spend more time reporting complaints than I do watching movies and Apple are not making money of movies that are missing inform the store.

I’m going to try get contact details or a callback from someone who can at least report this up the food chain.

I know a former member tried this once but didn’t get anywhere.

But I really think am that if a large group of us in Ireland the UK got more persist we could get Apple to help with distributors.

Not much chance a large group though.

I am making another attempt to get Apple on board with getting distributors to correct their errors and fix missing movies.

I’m due to get a call today at 2pm.

Hopefully that call will eventually lead to speaking to someone who get things done. If or when I get that department or person’s contact details I will post it here.

As expected the support agent who arranged the call arrange for a call from billing support.

The lady does seem to understand my explanation of missing movies and that filling out the feedback form is not the router I want to take.

So she has me hold to see if there is anyway of passing my complaint to someone outside the customer service area.

I’m just glad I didn’t get “blame Brexit”

I spoke to a senior advisor and explained how I had made multiple complaints to distributors over the years and how there aid much dissatisfaction worldwide with distributors.

And the senior adviser told be that the way to bring the issue to the attention of Apple management is a letter. He was to email me the address and was in the process of confirming my contact details the call was cut off.

It has been over 20 minutes and no sign of the email.

Is the Fox customer support email on the first page still valid or do we go through the Disney email now?

Does anyone know why there are so few Fox movies in Disney+?

Existing licensing agreements with other providers would be my guess.

That, plus Disney is EXTREMELY picky about what is considered 'family-friendly' enough for Disney +.

Night at the Museum? Sure!

Die Hard? Nope!

For so many movies dating as far back as the 1930s?

If you’re going back that far then that’s more than likely going to be due to what they think will actually be watched by many rather than just a few.

Same can be said for most of what they have there at the moment.

What is the point of paying so much for the Fox library and then never use it.

As I said previously it’s more than likely existing licensing agreements.
There’s agreements still in place for quite a lot of 20th Century Fox content that were made way before Disney took over.
It’s the same reason why in the US they don’t have Star at all as all the content is tied up elsewhere.

Sorry I’m not explaining myself very well.

The Fox movie library is very, very vast.

I understand some movies/franchises like Die Hard or Alien would be tied up in broadcast/streaming agreements but who would hold such rights over the really “old stuff”.

I can’t believe Disney would just vault it because of doubts about who would watch them. It is a whole new set subscribers to Disney+.

I have emailed Paramount a lot and strangely only get their automatic reply when my movies are pre-2000

Does anyone know if Universal Soldier was ever available on the UK store?

Seems weird that its not available yet Canal put out a 4K disc not that long ago and they seem to be pretty consistent with their 4K digital releases alongside discs. Contacted them anyway to find out.

It was back in 2019, was also priced at £3.99 before it disappeared from the store listing.
