While I couldn't get a $3,000 set past the wife's veto I could have spent more, but I'd have to step up to almost $2,000 for a Sony 95k or whatever to compete with what the Hisense is offering. That's a steep extra fee I think you'd agree. When reviews say they're equal, only a fool wouldn't try the Hisense out and see. If it sucks I'll return it, not a huge deal. So far banding is the only real issue I'm having. If I can't get that under control it might go back to the shop. |

I have an older Hisense:
Hisense 50H8F 50-Inch 4K Ultra HD Android Smart ULED TV HDR10 (2019) which is no longer made but carries a high premium on the 3rd market. I calibrated it using the new Spears/Munsil 4K set and it's about as good as it can get. I'm satisfied with it and am aware that it's a budget tv. I also have the Panny 820, so it's a collaborative effort between hardware/software/myself. Once it comes time to upgrade then I will most likely spring for a nice OLED. Hell, I still have my Panny Plasma 50" in another room, too. |

I thought the banding issues on this were pretty bad so I hooked up my previous Samsung set and did a comparison and holy crap, even worse on the Samsung. So either it's the discs I randomly watched or its the larger size making me think its worse. Either way a good sign for the Hisense.
If I return it there's simply nothing on the LCD market that competes with it, even the highest end Sony and Samsungs have worst blooming, color volume and brightness. I guess they focus on OLED and count on brand loyalty for LCD sales, I dunno. If I end up returning the Hisense I'll probably just wait a year and see what happens. |

I finally just got the new N0510 update on my U7G. With the new GamZone & Turbo Mode features.
I hope it will get the TV tab Google TV's have. Read that they will be adding it to Android TV's with a few hundred live streaming channels. Forgot what versions it's supposed to be for. |

If you want a Hisense TV, their new 2023 U8K is a very nice upgrade from the 2022 U8H series.

I currently have a Vizio P Series (p55-f1). I want to upgrade and I have been looking at some hisenses. The U6H, U8H, U7K, U6G. I don’t want to downgrade from what I have, are all these upgrades? I watch 4k movies, stream, watch sports, and play on an Xbox Series X. My current tv is 55 inch but im going to get a 65 inch.
