It's their top 3, 5 of their top 10, and 10 of their top 20. Without warner, they would not have anything with a salesrank below 100.

It's called taking advantage of the uninformed consumer, much like HD DVD has done all along. They're gonna sell the last of their movies as high as possible until Toshiba announces they've given up. You won't see a fire sale from anyone until this happens, they don't want to sell all the movies they have in stock at a loss.

Well the vast majority of people don't read boards like these.

Just curious... Is anyone aware of any real sales now? Just wondering if the 80/20 split of the top 100 is without BOGO's or other similar sales?

HD-DVD's #2 movie, Blade Runner, is ranked #83 overall. You don't find a BD that low until Shoot 'Em Up which is the #14 BD. BTW, Blade Runner on blu is #3 for blu and #20 overall, 63 spots higher than its HD-DVD counterpart.

HD-DVD's #5 movie, Bourne Ultimatum, is ranked #162 overall. You won't find any Top 20 blu-ray ranked that low overall. Kingdon of Heaven, the #20 BD, ranks #152 overall.

Sad.

80/20 is the same ratio for the videotape format war moments before VHS won.
