Wasnt too thrilled with the main gimmick when this was announced but its getting pretty good reviews. If they have a copy at Gamestop on Friday I’ll go in blind and see how it goes

Good timing because I'm one battle away from finishing up Claude's route in Three Houses (200+ hours logged with FE:3H). Looking forward to Engage!

Picked my copy up from Best Buy but I'm back to playing Persona 5 Royal after it took me forever to defeat Okumura. I might start Engage later tonight and play them at the same time, haven't decided yet.

Oh man. I have enough trouble playing one rpg at a time. The moment I get distracted I rarely go back to one.

Best Buy came through. LE arrived in great condition. Game Eye already claiming it's worth about $284 despite them still being available at retailors.

Yeah I try to avoid it when I can. It's hard because I'm really enjoying Persona but having Engage sitting there unplayed is gonna bother me too.

Same here, especially if they are two games with stories. I've tried it before and I end up wanting to play the other game while I'm playing one.

I beat Persona 5 on Switch just after Engage wrapped up. Now im jumping back and forth between 4 and Engage. Got the CE for Engage as well.

5 had me losing my mind at certain points but I really loved the game. I added 4 Golden to my Switch wishlist. I want to start playing it right now but I'm 3 hrs into Engage after last night, I should stick with it.

I'm past chapter 8 and I have to say... all of the characters in this game are absolutely horrible. I don't like a single one. I'm not sure how we went from the characters in Three Houses to Engage because it is a massive step down in quality. Arlo's video on YouTube sums this up perfectly. I watched it last night and agree with everything he said.

Negativity aside, I do love the battles in this game. The story and characters might be terrible but the gameplay is on point in every way. The story is very bland and boring too. I've started to tune it out and keep all of my focus on the main and side battles only.

This game definitely grew on me. The story is almost parody with how cliché it is and most of the characters are very annoying and some are actually kind of creepy (the Alfred and Boucheron support highlights what I mean). That being said I really do love the gameplay.

I started playing on the hardest difficulty thinking I could tone it down later if need be, and while there’s been a few times I almost went back to the hub to turn it down to hard (chapter 13, Ike paralogue and chapter 17) it has been very satisfying to figure things out and push the brokeness of the emblem rings to get past tough situations. I might still eventually turn it down since the game is only getting harder but I would recommend this game if you’re only concerned about gameplay and not so much about story/characters.

Like I'm doing with the Xenoblade 3 DLC, I'll wait to buy Engage's DLC until wave 4 hits. All of the added characters are cool but they should have been in the game from the start. Additional story is where they'll get my money and then I'll get it all together.

Yunaka and Zelkov are nearly untouchable (from physical attacks) when utilizing terrain and can clear a lot of maps by themselves. Louis was a bit overpowered against most physical enemies (Although, keeping him away from any mages was critical to keeping him alive).

Celine is my favorite of the bunch.

I'm around chapter 21/22 (can't remember which) and switched to Persona 4 Golden for now. The story and characters in Engage are just so bad that I had to take a break. I also wish I picked a harder difficulty because I'm way overpowered right now and nothing is even slightly difficult for my team.
