Suggestion to make Slip Cover the default front cover art.

How to make feedback to the administrator on this? Currently the default cover showing in the listings is the front cover, not the slip cover. But for slip boxes, its cover art is the one we see in our physical collection, not the Amaray cover art housed inside the slipcover. When someone uploads the Amaray cover art as front cover, this would default to be the cover art shown when we scroll through our collection. I find it jarring to see a cover art in My Collection different from the outer cover art in my physical collection.

So, I would like to suggest adding a ‘Main Cover’ (or ‘Default Cover’) option for uploading, which would be the default cover shown. In most Asian premium retailers’ listings, this would be the Slipbox cover art with front and spine showing. Then, if there is a slip cover art with just the front showing, it can be uploaded as the Slip.

I hope members can support my suggestion and help bring it to the attention of administrator. Thanks.

I agree with this completely, there should be an option to display the correct cover if a title comes with a slip.

I uploaded a few covers under the current correct fields but only to see them changed again lol, and i can totally understand why, give us the option to select a default cover between the slips and the amarays.

I think the problem with making slipcover the default cover in collections is slipcovers don't last long, so what about everybody else who doesn't have a slipcover? They'd be seeing something they don't see in their collection the same as you're seeing the normal cover instead of slip.

They have a personal Site Preference for "Display slip covers as front covers", so they just need to apply it everywhere. As it is now, I'm not really sure where it applies.
